Speedy deletion nomination of Olson Communications Inc.
[edit]Hello Jeremydandrus17,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Olson Communications Inc. for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

[edit] Hello Jeremydandrus17. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Draft:Olson Communications Inc., and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jeremydandrus17. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jeremydandrus17|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:28, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
Wordbruce,
I am not directly or indirectly compensated by the company that I have created a page for. I am an Intern for them, but I am in not being compensated for writing/editing a Wikipedia page. I am only creating a page because I dont see why other agencies are allowed on Wikipedia and some are not. I just saw an opportunity to create a Wikipedia page for an agency that has done a lot of research. This is in no way an attempt to make them profit from page, nor will I be compensated for creating/editing this Wikipedia page.
Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 13:51, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
- Interesting, you seem to have a very similar name to a Olson Communications Advertising and marketing Intern. What the D stand for? TVGarfield (talk) 21:36, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, I missed your declaration. Your maybe not paid but as an intern you do have a conflict. TVGarfield (talk) 21:39, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
I don't think there is. I am not paid to create/edit this Wikipedia article. No where in the article do I try to sell/promote any research done by this agency. I was not told to create a Wikipedia page, but since there are pages for other agencies, I dont see why Olson Communications should not have a Wikipedia article. Instead of labeling this page for deletion every time I post it, do you think that it would be more effective to simply help me improve this article? Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 22:01, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
- A Conflict of interest is a little broader than getting paid for the article, see conflict of interest (COI). Benefiting from it is a conflict. Being an intern in advertising and marketing for the company can certainly fall under that. I'm not saying the company doesn't deserve an article, I don't know and that's not the point. However, being involved always making something seem a little more notable than it might actually be. One other thing to keep in mind, there are companies who wish that no one had started their web page. If there is controversy at some point you can rest assured it will be added, and it is far from what the companies marketing department would want. Rothenberg Ventures comes to mind and it was started by an employee. Good luck and feel free to stay at wiki and edit other articles. I'm not going to do anything, but your going to have a hard time getting this through. TVGarfield (talk) 01:50, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:OLSON LOGO®-color-Hi-Res.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:OLSON LOGO®-color-Hi-Res.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Non-free rationale for File:Culinary Visions Panel logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Culinary Visions Panel logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 20:07, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Olson Communications, Inc.
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Olson Communications, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Olson Communications, Inc. , a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sock puppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. ~ Rob13Talk 03:20, 12 October 2017 (UTC) |

Request reason:
I see that my use of multiple accounts was wrong and I understand that it is not appropriate for this site. If unblocked, I will not decieve and try to go around the checks and balances of this site. I furthermore would like to ask that both the previous accounts that have been presented be deleted. Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 03:56, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You are not eligible for unblock consideration here. Go make the request on your original account. There, you will have to also address your inappropriate edits. Yamla (talk) 11:15, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I do not have the password for that account and I did not register an email address to that account. Therefor I can not log in to that account and request the block be terminated. Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 13:44, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
What if I forget the password or username?
If you enter an email address when signing up for the account, or in your Preferences, you can make a request on the login screen for a temporary password to be sent to that address, which will allow you to retrieve your account. If you did not enter an email address, or the address was out of date, you will have to create a new account under a different username. After doing this, if a user page and user talk page were created for the old account, it is advisable to make them redirect to the equivalent pages for the new account. (To carry the content and history of these pages over to the new location, you may be able to use the "move" function ─ contact an administrator if assistance is needed.) That's why there are multiple accounts from the same IP address. Can someone please help?? 13:50, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- Are you claiming you never intended to mislead and merely registered the two new accounts due to lost passwords? ~ Rob13Talk 14:04, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
No, I am explaining why I have multiple accounts on here. And how I cannot go to the original page to request that the block be terminated. Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 21:40, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Yamla: We have no way to prove this one way or the other, but there was never overlapping edits between the first account and later accounts. You can treat this as the master for purposes of reviewing the unblock request. ~ Rob13Talk 23:56, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
Does this mean there is a new review of my request to be unblocked? Again, I only have two accounts because I cannot remember the password for my oldest account, and created another new account. Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 17:13, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- You work in marketing and advertising for the company. It's is pretty hard say that isn't WP:COE. TVGarfield (talk) 17:43, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
Jeremydandrus17 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Is there anyway to get my block reviewed again? I do not have the original password for my first account so I cant access that account. :@BU Rob13: since you were the one to block me, then can you review my block? Jeremydandrus17 (talk) 20:37, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Abuse of multiple acount is one thing, and if you have genuinely lost the password for your old account therer would be no barrier to unblocking. However, the failure to address your violations of Wikipedia's terms of use with regards to paid editing, plus the fact that you have only ever used your accounts to try and promote your client, convinces me that Wikipedia is better off without you. - I won't review the block, as I placed it, but I have no objection to making this the account that is unblocked if an administrator is convinced that unblocking you would be beneficial to the encyclopedia. Any administrator (checkuser or not - this is not a CU block) can review this and make their determination. ~ Rob13Talk 21:23, 31 October 2017 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:OLSON LOGO®.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:OLSON LOGO®.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:30, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
