Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Laventille has been reverted.
Your edit here to Laventille was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/rcpos/photos/a.10152297276719619.1073741841.160047019618/10152297280794619/?type=1&theater) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Control copyright icon Hello Jennifer N Bailey, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Laventille has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:53, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Jennifer N Bailey. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Grenada

[edit]

Hi, I'm 0xF8E8; I have reverted your edits to Grenada because they are too granular for an article about the entire country and they verge towards advertising, which is not allowed on WP. Country articles generally warrant only very broad overviews of the largest businesses (see United States#Economy for an example) in accordance with summary style, as opposed to an exhaustive listing of annual corporate events -- there also needs to be independent, reliable sourcing, rather than links to the company websites. The phrasing used is also fairly promotional, not the neutral tone supposed to be used in Wikipedia (e.g. Assisting as a volunteer in these type of events may foster teamwork, develop young adults, bridge the age gap, provide retraining for adults who may be looking at a change in careers and The price of the vacation is quite economical and can appeal to those who would like to meditate or indulge in writing.) This sort of thing is more appropriate for Wikivoyage, a freely-editable travel guide where you can add material about important local businesses and events. Thanks. —0xF8E8 (talk) 19:45, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your addition to Grenada has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:21, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Trinidad and Tobago, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 11:55, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Trinidad and Tobago

Please stop adding overly technical and unsourced details on taxation there. Materialscientist (talk) 12:31, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I think that you like me a lot to keep sending me these messages, with the content, etc. However I was in the middle of adding the support for about the third time, when I got a conflict message, lost my support on all of the treaties followed by your message..

Have a great day

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Trinidad and Tobago. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a blockage. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 14:13, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank for the that bit of information. It appears that two editors were reviewing the same page, one of which was yourself and another editor, See the History page on Trinidad and Tobago. Thus when I was adding the support to the page and it went into a state of edit conflict, my changes were not saved. Perhaps when editors are working on pages, there should be a limit to access the page to amend information.

Also the information which I provided on your talk page was totally disregarded by you in your response, so perhaps you can acknowledge what I am saying in happening on the page and assist me with this matter. Jennifer N Bailey (talk) 14:33, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Venezuela

[edit]

Hi. I moved the subsection you added and the entire International relations section (which went on at some length on individual treaties as well as two countries) to Foreign relations of Venezuela. The entire section was redundant because we already had a brief Foreign relations subsection under the Politics of section. Hope that works for you. El_C 20:32, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Joycelyn Rampersad Ph.D, from its old location at User:Jennifer N Bailey/Joycelyn Rampersad Ph.D. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you.
