Hello Jasonreed1828. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:1828 (website), gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jasonreed1828. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jasonreed1828|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Sulfurboy (talk) 15:01, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain whether you are paid or compensated by 1828. Paid editing is serious business on Wikipedia.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:15, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This question has been asked and answered before. But here's the answer again - I'm not paid or compensated in any way. My work with 1828 is entirely voluntary. I'm a full time student. Jasonreed1828 (talk) 20:19, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for clarifying that. You should stop editing this article, as it impact on the neutrality of the Wiki to have people pushing their organizations. The relevant policy statement is "COI editors should not edit affected articles directly, but should propose changes on article talk pages instead." We are not here as a form of WP:PROMOTION for any organization.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:23, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

But the article doesn't exist yet, I'm trying to create it? Is there a reason why it still hasn't been approved? Jasonreed1828 (talk) 20:24, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Drafts are included in the COI policy. It has not been published for the reasons (listed multiple times) by the AFC reviewers.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:26, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been edited to rectify those concerns, which is why I've resubmitted it for approval. I think it now meets those criteria. So why can't it be approved? The fact that I made the page has never been raised as an issue before and I don't see why it should be an issue. Jasonreed1828 (talk) 20:29, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Koridas was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: I'm sorry, but the article subject is simply not notable. I can already tell just by looking at all these declines. Almost all the sources are from the same website, or primary.
