License tagging for File:Entrust Datacard Web.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Entrust Datacard Web.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Conflict of interest in Wikipedia; Terms of Use
[edit]Hi James. I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. You've created two articles about companies, Robinson Fresh and Entrust Datacard and associated articles that are promotional. I am giving you formal notice of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and a question for you below. Will you please read all this and reply and start a discussion with me?
Hello, James.bennett.russell. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.
Comments/questions
[edit]Wikipedia is a widely used reference work, and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it.
Would you please let me know if you have any relationship with each of Robinson Fresh and Entrust Datacard and associated companies, or with agencies that work with them? Please note that you must disclose any edits you make for compensation or that are part of your job, as mentioned above. Please note that having a conflict of interest and editing for pay are not forbidden here - we get some great contributions from editors with a COI, but COI needs to be managed. And people often stumble into WP without being aware of our "rules" around this stuff - everything is fixable. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards Jytdog (talk) 21:52, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:CH Robinson Logo 2015.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:CH Robinson Logo 2015.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 09:09, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
