Speedy deletion nomination of A&A BALLET
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on A&A BALLET, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Deletion of A&A Ballet
[edit]Please tell me how to change so it is not in violation? I really don’t see how it’s any different from other ballet company pages? IsabellaBrown (talk) 02:13, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at A&A BALLET. Seraphimblade Talk to me 02:53, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- I've also cleaned up your spamming of it into various other articles. Don't do that again, either. Also please note that, as appears likely, if you are being paid or compensated to edit Wikipedia on behalf of anyone, including being asked or expected to do so as a duty of employment, you are required to disclose that fact, and follow our conflict of interest guidelines, including not to edit or create articles directly about that subject. Thank you, I do understand, but I do not work for A&A Ballet. I thought and still think it’s valid content. I wish I were treated with a little more respect and allowed the opportunity to change the viewed “promotional” content of the page and not dismissed so quickly. But, thank you, I do appreciate your time and respect your authority at Wikipedia. IsabellaBrown (talk) 03:17, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- I'm afraid we have to take pretty quick action with advertising, since it's common and otherwise we'd be flooded with it. To give you an idea of the issue, it was full of stuff like "...internationally acclaimed artists...", "...offers a wide variety of classes, professional performance opportunities, private instruction, choreography, and training...", "...impacted the evolution of choreography and dance education...", "...gained international recognition for their groundbreaking work...", and on and on like that. So there wouldn't have been much there to salvage anyway. We require articles be neutral in both tone and content, which means to leave out those types of puff adjectives and stick to facts. Creating an appropriate new article is one of the harder things to do, so I usually recommend people gain experience with editing existing articles or use a draft and articles for creation. Thank you very much. I totally get what you said; thank you for explaining. Please reconsider adding back A&A Ballet, at least back to the list of dance companies. They are a valid and relevant ballet company with references to prove it. I respect your decision to remove my contributions and I don’t want to see A&A Ballet be excluded because I didn’t do right. Youth America Grand Prix is the most noted ballet competition in the world. Please look at the list of winners in the recent semifinals, several come from A&A Ballet alongside several other companies that have Wikipedia pages.

I am sorry that it looked like I was spamming, please don’t discount them because I incorrectly created a page. I saw that they were missing and thought they should be added. Also missing, is Peabody Dance of Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute. They’re one of the oldest dance schools in the country that is currently still operating, over 100 years. It was my intention to add them next as well. But I will stay away from ballet contributions as you indicated. Thanks again. IsabellaBrown (talk) 14:39, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
