You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Asmaa Abdol-Hamid. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. --Soman (talk) 14:35, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Asmaa Abdol-Hamid. Thank you. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 14:45, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
regarding BLP
[edit]No, i don't agree. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a blog or yellow media forum. Because of the immense potential problems regarding biographies, we have to be very strict on what is included and what isn't when writing biographical articles. Everything that is printed about a person does not have to be included in their articles, and there is no specific reason why we should lower ourselves to the gossipish journalism of metroxpress.dk. --Soman (talk) 14:57, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- well, the question in return would be, why do you readd it after i deleted it? its the same passage as inside the article, and there is no new info for me in it. i removed it from the talk page as it contains possible blp issues. That aside, if you may of course invite further parties to discuss the article in question. --Soman (talk) 15:05, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- If the brother was a public figure, then material on him could be included in his article. This is not the case here. Asmaa is an adult person, and this case is by no means related to her 'childhood'. The fact that newsmedia have different judgements on what is and what isn't relevant is not new to wikipedia. --Soman (talk) 15:09, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
