DYK for Hesburgh (film)

On 4 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hesburgh (film), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that director Patrick Creadon said he made the documentary Hesburgh in part because he was skeptical whether the work of Father Theodore Hesburgh "really lived up to his reputation"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hesburgh (film). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Hesburgh (film)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:28, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

James Hagerstrom scheduled for TFA

This is to let you know that the James Hagerstrom article has been scheduled as today's featured article for January 14, 2021. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 14, 2021, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.

For Featured Articles promoted recently, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.

We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:23, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you today for the article, "about a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot who was a flying ace in both World War II and the Korean War. It passed a thorough MILHIST A-Class Review in 2018, and I believe it has only improved since then and meets the FA criteria. As this is my first FAC nom, Nick-D was gracious enough to mentor me through the process, and I hope to get the article to FA in time for it to run on TFA next January for the 100th anniversary of his birth."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:49, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
