Wiki Medicine
Hi
I'm contacting you because, as a participant at Wikiproject Medicine, you may be interested in a new multinational non-profit organization we're forming at m:Wikimedia Medicine. Even if you don't want to be actively involved, any ideas you may have about our structure and aims would be very welcome on the project's talk page.
Our purpose is to help improve the range and quality of free online medical content, and we'll be working with like-minded organizations, such as the World Health Organization, professional and scholarly societies, medical schools, governments and NGOs - including Translators Without Borders.
Hope to see you there! --Anthonyhcole (talk) 08:10, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Commons cats
Hi Hordaland,
I've been trying to sort out commons:Category:Diseases and disorders, and one of the "problems" left to be sorted is sleep disorders. I haven't been able to find a category for it, and Commons needs one. Do you know of one that I've missed, or, if not, do you have suggestions on where to fit it into the current cat tree, so that future users will find it? WhatamIdoing (talk) 06:12, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'm barely familiar with Commons and won't be of much help. Seems to me it ought to be under both 'Diseases and disorders' and 'Sleep'. Isn't that possible? (I'm leaving in less than 24 hr and expect to return the 15th.) --Hordaland (talk) 11:43, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, you can do multiple 'homes'. Is just plain 'Diseases and disorders' right, or should it be under 'Diseases and disorders of the nervous system' or some other specific category? WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:08, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
ADHD article
Hi Hordaland. I hope all is well with you. I am just working here on the ADHD article and I have come to the differential diagnosis sub-section. I noticed a fair amount of content relating to sleep and ADHD which I believe that you added. 2 or 3 of the references on sleep and ADHD are to primary sources. I was wondering if you fancied doing a pubmed search restricting the search to reviews, meta-analysis's and systematic reviews as well as restricting it to past 5-10 years and updating the content and replacing these primary sources? You are the resident ADHD and sleep expert, so you have been chosen! :-p--MrADHD | T@1k? 18:29, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
