Speedy deletion nomination of Favolose narranti: Storie di transessuali
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Favolose narranti: Storie di transessuali requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.cronacaossona.com/2013/09/16/favolose-narranti-storie-di-transessuali-di-porpora-marcasciano/amp/] (translation, WP:DERIVATIVE). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Hitiste2023! Your additions to Favolose narranti: Storie di transessuali have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:53, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. Anyway it was totally rewritten and plagiarism was checked and there was none. I will rework a new version and repropose it. Have a great day Hitiste2023 (talk) 13:59, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- I checked the latest version, and there were still substantial similarities in sentence structure and composition making it a derivative work. My advice is to write it from scratch in your own words and do not rely on looking at the sources while you do it. Rearranging words and rewording are often no enough to avoid a copyright violation. -- Whpq (talk) 14:03, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Favolose narranti: Storie di transessuali, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". - Hello,
- Could you please clarify why the page was deleted? The page was a book presentation and did not have a promotional tone or any issues with plagiarism. It was created in accordance with Wikipedia's standards and guidelines, showcasing the work of an internationally recognized author on LGBT and trans history as well as human rights. Given the importance and relevance of this work, I believe it should be reconsidered for inclusion. If there are any concerns about specific elements, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss them and work collectively to improve the page. Hitiste2023 (talk) 18:43, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

- I did not delete it for "plagiarism". I deleted it because it was extremely promotional, despite your claim to the contary. An example of some of the promotional language: "Together, these accounts present a tapestry of challenges faced by the transgender community, spanning from internal struggles to external societal rejection. The work transcends being a mere literary effort, becoming a political statement that confronts entrenched perceptions of gender identity and the issues affecting trans individuals.".--Bbb23 (talk) 18:52, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback. I understand your concern about the tone of the content, and I want to clarify that the goal was not to promote, but rather to provide context regarding the significance of the work;
- Since you’ve highlighted this, I’m open to co-building with your kind support a version of the page that meets Wikipedia's standards. Could you provide your thoughts on how you would propose adjusting the language? I’d be happy to collaborate and make sure the content is both neutral and informative. I moved Transformare l'organizzazione... to draft space
[edit]Courtesy link: Draft:Transformare l'organizzazione dei luoghi di detenzione. Persone transgender e gender nonconforming tra diritti e identità
Dear @Hitiste2023:
I would like to let you know that I moved your recently created article to draft space during new page review. I don't think the article is ready yet. It will be good if you can demonstrate the notability of the book in accordance with WP:NBOOK. You should also use in-text citations instead of listing your sources at the end, and you should not use the book itself as a source. I hope this all helps! Cheers, --The Lonely Pather (talk) 14:41, 8 October 2024 (UTC)

Jannik Sinner
[edit]Well, talking about fake news. You quite clearly didn't even bother reading the cited articles:
- Jannik Sinner proviene da una famiglia di madrelingua tedesca.
- Therefore, Jannik and his brother Marc grew up speaking German. During his teens, his basic knowledge of Italian presented a problem.
- The only problem: the language. I had the basics of Italian. When Luka was not at home, I had to express myself in gestures with others.
Like most South Tyroleans, Sinner didn't grow up "bilingual", but started learning the second official language at school, where (in the case of German-speaking communities) Italian is taught as sort of a "foreign language" like English. If you disagree, please provide sources for your claims and address the topic first on the talk page. Cheers, Mai-Sachme (talk) 07:25, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
