Maaf English sy tdk fluent

Sy sudah melihat pembicaraan di WikiProject Talk Indonesia. Karena sy malu mengingat sy tak bisa menerjemahkan Indonesia -> English (tapi sebaliknya bisa), saya sampaikan -dan kalau bisa, Saudara tolong sampaikan opini sy ke sana: bhw ada Wikipediawan penutur asli bahasa Indonesia, mereka "CUMA MALAS" mengembangkan Wikipedia Indonesia, eh, mereka kembangkan Wikipedia English. Ibarat kata, taman orang ditanami bunga, tapi taman sendiri dilupakannya. Karena itu, hemat saya pribadi, sebab banyak penutur asli bhs Indonesia yg cerdik cendekia malah nulis d Wiki English, makanya byk artikel di Wiki Indonesia banyak terbengkalai dan byk org cari artikel Indonesia malah ke Wiki English. Nah, saudara sendiri adalah penutur asli bhs Indonesia dan cerdik cendekia, sy mohon KEMBALILAH ke WIKI INDONESIA. Tanami dulu kembang² ARTIKEL BERFAEDAH di sana, baru kalau mau diterjemahkan ke sini. Toh apatah lagi sdh ada fitur ContentTranslation. AYO, KEMBALILAH SAUDARAKU KE WIKI INDONESIA. @AMA Ptk: Pagi pak. Kalau menurut saya, Wikipedia ini kan proyek sukarela, jadi ya terserah masing-masing aja mau berkontribusi dimana. Tidak ada paksaan atau tekanan untuk mendahulukan Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia dibanding Bahasa Inggris. Tidak perlu disindir-sindir malas atau segala macam, justru bahasa Inggris kadang-kadang lebih perlu banyak usaha karena tidak bisa tinggal translate dari bahasa lain. Wikipedia Bahasa Inggris juga bermanfaat, karena pembacanya seluruh dunia. Demikian pendapat saya pak. HaEr48 (talk) 05:11, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Saudara benar, sy mungkin berlebihan —ini juga gegara saya "dipicu" seorang teman yg sedih —dia Wikipediawan juga— karena org Indonesia sepatutnya menulis di "buminya" sendiri, sebelum menanam di "bumi" orang lain. Tapi namun demikian, bukankah di Wiki Ind lebih longgar? Tulis tulisan bagus, penuhi ref, selesai. Nah, di Wiki English kan bisa colab. Dan lagi, di sini kan ada copy edit bahasa supaya sesuai dgn bhs Inggris. Sy kira inilah yang membuat kemudahan d Wiki Ind, saudaraku. Tidak diusulkan menjadi AP?

Averroes, Battle of Surabaya (1677), Forced conversions of Muslims in Spain, Islamic criminal law in Aceh, Jonah ibn Janah, Kediri campaign (1678), Mudéjar revolt of 1264–1266, Proof of the Truthful, State communications in the Neo-Assyrian Empire, Trunajaya rebellion tidak diusulkan menjadi AP? Padahal tinggal dipoles sedikit saja, saya yakin semua artikel itu layak untuk mendapatkan status AP. Hanamanteo (talk) 06:47, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

@Hanamanteo: Terima kasih atas idenya. Saya kurang pede sih. Standar AP di en.wp jauh lebih tinggi dibanding id.wp. Terutama artikel mengenai sejarah, karena banyak faktor-faktor yang seringkali takut tidak bisa memenuhi syarat "comprehensive" karena banyak detail yang memang susah dicari jawabannya. Tambah lagi bahasa Inggris saya masih sering salah salah grammarnya. HaEr48 (talk) 00:07, 25 August 2018 (UTC)

Komprehensif di sini maksudnya harus lengkap selengkap-lengkapnya? Saya kurang yakin juga kalau harus demikian bila ada beberapa hal yang tidak disebutkan dalam sumber-sumber suatu artikel. Apakah mungkin memasukkan hal-hal yang tidak disebutkan dalam sumber hanya agar suatu artikel dikatakan komprehensif? Soal kemampuan bahasa Inggris sih, saya pikir sudah baik kok, buktinya Anda bisa menjadikan satu artikel sebagai AP dan satu lagi yang tampaknya sudah bisa diangkat menjadi AP. Terima kasih komentarnya dan usulannya. Mungkin di mata saya dan Anda bahasa Inggrisnya kelihatan tidak apa-apa tapi sebenarnya masih banyak errornya. Misalnya Averroes' theory of the unity of the intellect sudah saya cek beberapa kali, tapi ketika diekspos ke Main Page dan dibaca user lain ternyata banyak sekali kesalahannya coba lihat disini. Tapi baiklah saya pertimbangkan ke depannya. Mungkin setelah nominasi yang sekarang diloloskan saya mungkin akan coba salah satu yang lain. Aturannya hanya boleh nominasi satu-satu. Thanks for the reminder. The guidelines you linked say that "These guidelines apply specifically to [...] talk pages other than user talk pages. The application of these guidelines to user talk pages should be governed by common sense and should not supersede guidelines and policies specific to those pages" Have I posted non-English comments other than in user talk pages? If I have, let me know and I'll try to correct them or translate them. As for my own user talk page, I use English by default but if another user starts a thread in another language that I speak, as per common sense I might choose to answer in that language to ease communications. good sound response - thanks for that - fair enough - the problem is due to the reduced number of editors on english wikipedia indonesian project - the capacity of any one person to 'keep up' is reduced if some of the material reverts to Indonesian - as we no longer have an active bilingual admin in the project - the potential for problems to arise without warning increases... may seem somewhat paranoid, but nonetheless it can be offputting - as english wikipedia indonesia project is increasingly overloaded with problems and issues - there seem to be less and less capacity to manage the general issues... but I conflate two issues there - the additional task of dealing with multilingual talk pages just seems a bit much.
