If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Go Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —teb728 t c 07:45, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because the chosen username is a clear violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane, threatens, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 10:20, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

previous username was not following username policy Go Group AS (talk) 08:03, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Your new username is fine and the rename was performed by another admin, but you need to address your inappropriate edits. Yamla (talk) 13:09, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have globally renamed Go Group AS to Baltijaam2018, but given the clearly promotional nature of your (now deleted) draft at Draft:Go Group, I think you should expand on your unblock request and address the nature of your future edits. I note that you did provide a declaration on your user page and you did use the WP:AfC mechanism to present your draft for review, but doing those things does not allow you to write promotional material. I will leave someone else to review your unblock request. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:33, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for causing confusion. The block template was wrong. I've applied the correct one. User must affirm not writing about GoGroup in the future. And must tell us what constructive, non promotional edits they will make.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:36, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I will update Balti jaam article with new photos and information in Estonian and English

Decline reason:

As per the "OK, forget about it. Have a nice day!" comment, below. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:18, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have globally renamed Baltijaam2018 to Kalamajavalvur2018, and someone else will review your unblock request. I had not realised that Baltijaam2018 was also a prohibited username, being the name of an article you wish to edit. Can you please confirm that Kalamajavalvur2018 is not similarly the name of something you want to write about? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:43, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also, we don't want you to write in Estonian on the English Wikipedia - all contributions must be in English. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:45, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was asked to describe the contribution that I intend to make if I am unblocked. Balti jaam has articles both in Estonian and in English. My point was that I will contribute to both articles by updating the photos and general information.

It is not the case that the English Wikipedia has an article on Balti jaam in Estonian. Only English contributions are allowed here. --Yamla (talk) 11:24, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is likely that they meant they intend to update the English Wikipedia article in English and the Estonian Wikipedia article in Estonian. The main point is that intentions towards the Estonian Wikipedia are not relevant to this unblock appeal. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:32, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Right, of course. However, they have not yet done this: "User must affirm not writing about GoGroup in the future." Kalamajavalvur2018, you are close to an unblock but we have to be sure you understand why your existing edits were inappropriate, and make sure you won't repeat them. --Yamla (talk) 11:34, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am not selling anything. I wrote basic information about Go Group - when it was started, who are the owners and shortly what is this group doing for business. We have hundreds of the same type of aritcles in Wikipedia in Estonian about many companies and no problem. Why cannot I have the same information in English aswell? This is the Estonian article https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_Group

We do not have hundreds of company articles in the English Wikipedia that say blatant marketing things like "The success of the companies that make up Go Group is backed by the organization’s close to 900 professional, helpful employees". Also, the English Wikipedia has minimum notability requirements for companies to qualify for an article (see WP:NCORP) and reliable sourcing requirements needed to support them (see WP:RS). We really don't care about Estonian Wikipedia standards. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:02, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'll just add that your Go Group Draft provided no independent sources. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:05, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) We've already told you. WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. What happens on the Estonian Wikipedia is irrelevant here. These are two separate projects with two separate sets of policies and guidelines. As it is still your avowed intention to write about Go Group, I'm afraid your unblock is very likely to be rejected again. You won't be unblocked until you promise to avoid writing about Go Group, so we can be sure you will abide by the English Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Yamla (talk) 12:03, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So in English Wikipedia I cannot write ANY basic information about Go Group - when it was started, who are the owners and shortly what is this group doing for business? If the sentence "The success of the companies that make up Go Group is backed by the organization’s close to 900 professional..." is a problem, I will delete it but due to that the article is blocked, I cannot change it.

First question - do you have any connection to Go Group? Secondly, if you can not provide evidence through independent reliable sources (WP:RS) that Go Group meets the English Wikipedia standard for notability (WP:NCORP) then no, you can not write about Go Group at all. I see the Estonian article has no independent sources, has multiple inline links to the Go Group site, and has only the Go Group site as a reference. It would be quickly deleted under English Wikipedia standards. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:22, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I work in Go Group. Our foreign cooperation partners from Russia and Kazahstan for example noted that there is no information about Go Group in Wikipedia and that is the reason why I started adding the articles in Estonian, English and Russian. I just added 4 independent sources to the article in Estonian, please see it here https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_Group The sources are from Estonian biggest media house Postimees that is part of Eesti Meedia, the largest media group in the Baltics https://www.eestimeedia.ee/about-us/

After reading WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO, how exactly would you abide by those policies? --Yamla (talk) 12:47, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OK, forget about it. Have a nice day!
