[edit]- Greetings! To clarify what was happening... Thank you for cleaning up some of the vandalism that had taken place at Fort Walton Beach High School. However, while fixing some things, some other problems came back. That's why your edits were identified as vandalism. —C.Fred (talk) 01:59, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Oops, I apologize and have rescinded my warning. Thank you for helping keep Wiki free of vandalism. You are allowed to blank these warnings if you want to. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:02, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Well, this is pretty clearly not a positive edit. Drmies (talk) 02:52, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Can you please stop your disruptive editing: [1]. This isn't constructive for a Wikipedia page. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:14, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Fort Walton Beach High School. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.
It's a bad list entry, since the subject is not notable (there is no article about him). Do not add it again. If you want to discuss why you shouldn't, or what you need to do if you think he should be added, feel free to discuss it at your user talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 03:14, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
I'm still confused as to why it was protected and why my edits were deleted. It's completely relevant information and pertains to the school well GenericAssUsername (talk) 03:39, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Because he is not a notable person. Only notable alumni should be in the list of notable alumni. It doesn't matter how it pertains to the school; it matters how well it qualifies under Wikipedia policy—and a high-school football player is not notable. —C.Fred (talk) 03:41, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
So if I made a page about him-qualifying him as "notable" then the previous edits would revert? GenericAssUsername (talk) 03:46, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- If he qualifies as notable. —C.Fred (talk) 03:53, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
Hometown hero counts as notable? GenericAssUsername (talk) 03:55, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Nope. —C.Fred (talk) 03:56, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
Then what does? GenericAssUsername (talk) 03:57, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- Which part of WP:BIO isn't clear? —C.Fred (talk) 03:58, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

. Drmies (talk) 11:55, 21 March 2018 (UTC)- You're edit warring, you're adding BS to the article, and the letter L is not a quarterback. Drmies (talk) 11:56, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
