Category:WikiProjects participating in Wikipedia 1.0 assessments

@Garzfoth:, I'm trying to clean up Category:WikiProjects participating in Wikipedia 1.0 assessments, and this page is included in that category. @Brvhelios: Unfortunately the categories are not manually assigned or editable in this case. As best as I can tell, they were automatically assigned due to the use of template transclusion syntax within the page, even though said syntax is functionally inert due to the page type. For some reason the auto-categorizations still triggering despite the template transclusions being totally disabled is apparently semi-expected behavior...

Anyways, after a bit of fumbling around I was eventually able to figure out how to disable this undesired behavior without breaking any functionality. I've implemented several changes that should have fully addressed the issue — all of the auto-categorizations (as well as all of the similarly broken template transclusions on the edit page) are gone now.
