Speedy deletion nomination of Matrix Feminist Design Co-operative
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Matrix Feminist Design Co-operative requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Galchitect, Theroadislong, Sphilbrick, I've declined the speedy deletion in response to the talk-page request from Megs. Whatever Wikimedia NYC is trying to do, the first thing it needs to tell people is not to copy stuff into Wikipedia from elsewhere – it really ought to be possible to have an editathon without having to have a copyright-cleanup-a-thon straight after it. Galchitect, everything you write here must (with a few very rare exceptions) be entirely in your own words; please take this to heart. I'll move the page to draft space for you so that you can work on it at leisure – it's at risk of deletion in mainspace. Regards all round, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:32, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
- Well, I was going to, but Theroadislong has already done it! Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:34, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
Ways to improve Jos Boys
[edit]Thanks for creating Jos Boys.
A New Page Patroller Vexations just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:
The only sources I see are references to books by the subject. We're an encyclopedia, a tertiary source, and we rely on secondary sources. In other words; we care primarily about what other people have written about her. If no such material exists, the subject may not be considered notable. Please refer to WP:GNG or WP:CREATIVE for a subject-specific guideline.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
