Thomas Andrews

[edit]

Thats a stereotype of the irish people you got there you know about the whole Irish hating british , but any ways he was a british citizen like all people living in whole of the british empire but he was not a british NATIONAL his nationality of my best knowledge was irish, i dont mind the article saying Irish born british (i dont think i said anything against it at all, i think i reverted back to saying that to be honest)if his loyalties where to Britain . And p.s. I don't think you fully understand the whole Irish-British relations at all to be honest. Pro66 (talk) 17:48, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dahmer photo

[edit]

But if I add that mugshot with the template you showed me, will it be removed? --SouthAmerican (talk) 23:55, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe, maybe not. See Wikipedia:Non-free content. What it basically says is that you have to justify using it, what it does for the article, etc. Whether it gets removed or not will depend on whether you get any persnickety people out there who don't want it or want to challenge it just because they can. The policy is unevenly enforced at subjective at best. It's up to you whether it is worth the trouble! --Mr.98 (talk) 01:50, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since the photo is from his appearance at the trial, I would suggest that the article describes his appearance in the photo, and how it differed from his other normal appearance, then you will have a greater justification to include it. This sort of fair use needs far more explanation on the template than the normal book cover or logo. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:04, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Stories Project

[edit]

Aloha!

My name is Victor and I work with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. We're chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade new people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who use Wikipedia have so much to share.

I find stories that drive our annual fundraising efforts. It's important to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day.

I'd really like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia.

I will be in Buenos Aires from the 10th - 11th of March 2012.

I'm hoping you will elaborate on your story with me. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project!

Thank you,

Victor Grigas
