My edits

[edit]

Dear @FacultiesIntact: i edited your sandbox at your request. I changed some text that I believe I added earlier. I tagged some stuff that I should have added a citation to earlier but just never got around to. I am taking a wiki break but was intrigued at your request. Geraldshields11 (talk) 02:26, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Geraldshields11: I hope you don't mind me interrupting your wiki break again, but I've updated my sandbox with references for most of the missing citations. I've also come across some interesting findings in my research about the foundations of the company: I have seen both the Moltedos as well as Taddei and Zengiaro credited as the founders. This Forbes article cites Laura Moltedo as a former owner, this NY Mag piece credits her as designer from 1966-1998, and this NY Times article describes both Moltedos as the founders in 1966, who sold BV to Gucci Group in 2001. This Vogue article describes Taddei and Zengiaro as the founders of the company, as well as both leaving in the late 1990s. None of these articles mention all four alleged founders. Do you have any advice or ideas on how to reconcile this?--FacultiesIntact (talk) 02:34, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @FacultiesIntact: Sorry, I just edited the main space article by adding more citations. I forgot about the sandbox article. Please would you add the Wall Street Journal cites to your sand box. My best regards, Geraldshields11 (talk) 21:31, 25 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Geraldshields11: I added a few of the references back into the sandbox, but I believe I already used the WSJ article as a reference in the sandbox. Could you review it when you get a chance? I feel like we're close to getting this done. Thanks!--FacultiesIntact (talk) 17:58, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @FacultiesIntact: I just did some more edits of the sandbox and mentioned my working with you in the talk page of the main article. Geraldshields11 (talk) 15:18, 13 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much @Geraldshields11: What else do you think needs to be done before we update the main article with the sandbox content?--FacultiesIntact (talk) 22:43, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @FacultiesIntact: Is there any way we can get a copyright-free photograph of the founders that does not look like a mug shot? Other than that, I am good with the sandbox version. Geraldshields11 (talk) 15:32, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Geraldshields11: I'm passing along the request to BV, but I'm not overly optimistic that we'll be able to procure one. Even if we did manage to find one, I imagine it'd be rather difficult to get the rights released from the original photographer. Can we push forward with publishing, and I'll let you know when I get a response from BV?--FacultiesIntact (talk) 23:33, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@FacultiesIntact: Yes, let us publish. Geraldshields11 (talk) 14:01, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Geraldshields11: Is there anything I can do to help you update the article? I'd prefer not to do it myself due to my COI.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 22:31, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@FacultiesIntact: I just cut and pasted the sandbox text into the main space article. Geraldshields11 (talk) 16:51, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Geraldshields11: Thank you again for all your help. Would you mind helping make a few last edits? I just updated the sandbox with some minor things, like the most recent annual revenue, current number of boutiques, and specified that the Maison in the last image is the one in Milan, and not the new one in Los Angeles. Here's the diff to make it easier to review.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 23:13, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @FacultiesIntact: I added the changes in a cut and paste. I went back and tried to re-add the other later in time changes by the other editors. Geraldshields11 (talk) 18:59, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
