DYK for Mabel Smyth Memorial Building
On 4 October 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mabel Smyth Memorial Building, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an ʻape-leaf design decorates the exterior of the Mabel Smyth Memorial Building in Honolulu? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mabel Smyth Memorial Building. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mabel Smyth Memorial Building), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Creative Community for Peace and IP violations
I just want to make sure that you won't seek to have me disciplined for 1RR if I do a pretty major rewrite of this new page.
It still needs a lot of work, and I'm going to try to find balance.
-- Bob drobbs (talk) 18:45, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
- Bob drobbs, I know that revert restrictions get complicated with rewrites. So complicated, in fact, that I'm not sure how to answer this. Based on a glance at the article history, neither of us has currently made a revert... So if you rewrite the article and remove content that I added in multiple distinct but consecutive edits, is that only one revert, or is it a 1RR violation? How about this, which is true both for AE and more broadly: I will go to a noticeboard if I feel it's necessary to resolve a content or conduct issue, but I have no desire to do so on a technicality as an attempt to get you in trouble or something – I'd much rather continue discussing on the article talk page, which has been productive so far. As a wise editor recently pointed out,
WP:AE is meant to facilitate WP:DR, not the other way around
– why battle when we can collaborate? ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 19:50, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
Hernâni Marques moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Hernâni Marques, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. NPOV dispute of Killing_of_Lindani_Myeni
Hey Ezlev,
Thanks for your feedbacks on my edits. I have some questions for you. And I do want to raise a NPOV dispute here with you. I have listed a more detailed version of my concern in the talk page of the article.
Could you elaborate on the "Removing inappropriate use of WP:PRIMARY sources. Per WP:BRD and to avoid edit warring, please open a discussion on the talk page rather than reinstating the changes"?
The city's medical examiner has put down those information in 1. last page of the persecutor's report saying the refusal of CTE consultation 2. The toxicity report was included in the same document. Please clarify the citation of the medical examiner's report could violate a WP:PRIMARY sources? Those are simple citation of facts.
I listed my other concerns in the talk page, please take your valuable time to give your comments on this.
Thanks Jack — Preceding unsigned comment added by JackRayon1101 (talk • contribs) 18:58, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
- JackRayon1101, I plan to reply to your comments at the article talk page, hopefully soon if I have time. So that other users can follow what's happening, please keep the discussion there unless there's a reason to bring it here. You can ping me when you reply there to ensure that I see your reply, but even that probably isn't necessary since I'm watching the page. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 03:44, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Thanked twice?
Nice work on Steve Alm. If I could pester you about something: you somehow managed to thank me twice for this edit. Do you remember how you did that? It's usually impossible: per WP:THANKS#Details and limitations, "You can only thank someone for a given edit once"; the "thank" link normally goes away. Just curious in case there's some sort of bug that needs to be resolved. Cheers, Extraordinary Writ (talk) 18:44, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Extraordinary Writ, I only clicked thanks once that I'm aware of, so if there's a bug it must be on the backend. Thanks again (a third time, I guess) for catching my error! ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 18:55, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Strange: I have no idea what might be causing that. Anyways, you're quite welcome; have a pleasant rest of your day. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 19:04, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

Review of updated submission for Mildred B. Thurow Tate
Ezlev -- thank you for your recommendations on the draft Mildred Bertha Thurow Tate article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft_talk:Mildred_Bertha_Tate_(Thurow)). The article has been revised and resubmitted as reliable sources have been used in lieu of those you identified as unreliable. Could you please look over my revisions? There is only one source that wasn't replaced, it was for the Southern Sociological Society as it is the official website of the society. I was also wondering if you could help me to upload her photo here is the link: https://vtwomenshistory.lib.vt.edu/items/show/91. I am a novice content creator and appreciate your assistance and feedback.Tkwoods87 (talk) 15:29, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
- Tkwoods87, great job making changes – the article looks much better! I'd rather let another reviewer take a look at it, so you'll need to be patient, but I'm confident you're well on the way to getting this accepted as an article. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 17:50, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Question from Samirmahmudbd on User:Samirmahmudbd/sandbox (20:00, 9 October 2021)
Hi, Could you please help me to check my article is no reference link issue? I appreciate your help. --Samirmahmudbd (talk) 20:00, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Samirmahmudbd! It does seem like there might be some issues with referencing in your draft. Some sentences, like "Sohel is married to Mahafuza Akhter", don't have a reference. Also, some parts of the article seem to use the subject's own website as a reference, which might not be allowed. I put a link to an editing tutorial on your talk page, which might be helpful. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 20:22, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
Question from Samirmahmudbd on User:Samirmahmudbd/sandbox (06:14, 11 October 2021)
Dear Ezlev, Thanks for your previous help. You give me proper guidelines. As per your guideline, I have replaced his own website link with a proper authentic news source. I will be glad if check the article again?
Thanks & Regards Samir Mahmud --Samirmahmudbd (talk) 06:14, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
- Samirmahmudbd, hello again! Parts of the draft still don't seem to have sources that support them, so it still needs work, but it's definitely getting better. If you want to move toward making it an article, you can put
{{subst:submit}}
at the top of the page to start the Articles for Creation process. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 07:42, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
Question from Samirmahmudbd on User talk:Samirmahmudbd (06:13, 18 October 2021)
Hey Friend, I need your help to make this article more perfect for submission. Could please help to find out why the article is declined?? I will be glad if you help me again. Thanks & regards --Samirmahmudbd (talk) 06:13, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- Samirmahmudbd, it looks like the draft was declined because the reviewer didn’t think it clearly shows that the subject is notable. The notability guidelines for politicians say that an elected official at the local level, like the person you’re writing about, isn’t automatically notable. Because of that, you have to show that he meets the general notability guideline. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 15:34, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

Question from Samirmahmudbd on Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk (18:21, 20 October 2021)
Hi, Have a good day! I will be glad if you please check my draft again and is this now perfect for resubmit?? I have changed lots of reference --Samirmahmudbd (talk) 18:21, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Samirmahmudbd, yes, you should resubmit your draft if you think it's been improved enough for publication. Even if it gets declined, you'll get feedback that might be useful for improving it more. If it gets declined again I can take a closer look and try to help. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 21:21, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
