Antarctica cooling controversy
[edit]Thanks for adding a paragraph to Antarctica cooling controversy covering Bromwich et al.'s recent paper on warming in central West Antarctica. We need "verification" of anything appearing in Wikipedia, so I've added a citation to the paper itself, plus Eric Steig's commentary giving more detail for those without access to the paper. Please have a look and see if that covers the wording appropriately, and let us know on the article talk page if you think other sources should be cited. Someone will be glad to assist with formatting etc. Your contribution is much appreciated, dave souza, talk 14:59, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback on this. Sorry to trouble you, but you should probably note some of the main points of the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. The main thing is your role here: "subject-matter experts are welcome to contribute to articles in their areas of expertise, while being careful to make sure that their external relationships in that field do not interfere with their primary role on Wikipedia." If you think something could be controversial, it's best to discuss it on the article talk page. To avoid misunderstandings, it is recommended that you think about declaring an interest on your user page: for a good example, see User:TimOsborn. Thanks again for taking the time to contribute, hope that advice isn't too tedious! . . . dave souza, talk 10:27, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
