LINKS
Hi Ed
Sorry about that - I am new to this and have various articles on Mallorca's resots and wasn't too sure what to do. I shall ensure this stops
Many thanks Mallorca Now (talk) 07:07, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Links
Can I still request that the link be added to external references in the various articles re the various resorts in Mallorca. All the pages contain good information on each resort.
Many thanks Mallorca Now (talk) 07:18, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Please have a look at WP:EL before placing any requests. EdBever (talk) 11:19, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
References
Hi Again
I shall of course abide by the rules however can I please draw your attention to your Cala Millor page which includes 3 links to 3 different websites under the heading 'References'. I know of these websites and would be grateful if you could explain the reason why they are included but you see no reason that a link to my website be included?.
Thank you for your patience

- The wikipedia community usually checks each addition, but that is not always possible because of the amount of edits. External links are checked against the policies summed up in WP:EL, not against other existing links. Just like you I can see no valid reason for the references you mentioned. They appear to be there only to promote those sites. The article in question looks quite biased, I have removed some of the POV, but I think that a town of more than 5,000 inhabitants has more on offer than just tourists. If you feel like it you can always improve articles. If you have pictures you can add them to the articles, or you can use a website as reference. That reference should really be a reference, and not just a link to the home page of a site about Mallorca (like some that I removed). If you need help, you can always stop by here. REFRENCES
Hi Again
Re http://www.mallorca-now.com
Following on from our previous discussion, we have now expanded the information on the website pages for each of the resorts, together with the city of Palma and Towns & Villages within Mallorca.
The website also covers 'Living in Mallorca' with a comprehensive guide to the main places that residents would shop (outwith tourist shopping).
The website contains a lot of information re attractions around the Island including opening times, prices etc.
The content of each page is unique and images are original.
I would be grateful if you could perhaps review the information contained within the site and consider that the website be included somewhere on the pages of the reorts/towns which we have covered.

About My Links
Hello I have realised you removed all the links that I added to engine spesific sites and regarded them as vandalism or spam. I think you did not even bother to check the website that I linked to. I did not have any intention of getting backlinks to my website since I know that wikipedia does not provide do follow backlink and my website is doing very well with search engines. My webpage provides superior technical detail compared to articles currently found on wikipedia. The technical details might be too complicated for wikipoedia users. Therefore I added the links for users who are looking for more informatipon. I am new to wikipedia therefore I might placed the link in wrong places but I assure you that the link are not spam at all. I will kindly request you to repost the links and help me place them in appropriate positions Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neskonezih (talk • contribs) 13:12, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, First of all welcome!. COIbot (an automated bot which scans edits on wikipedia) reported your actions because you placed many instances of the same domain. You only edited wikipedia to place links to your own website. You are acting in good faith, but wikipedia is not a collection of links. You may be right about the depth of the technical information on your website, but you could add general info to wikipedia. Please have a look at Wikipedia:External links for the policies the wikipedia community set up for external links. EdBever (talk) 13:25, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Hello. Thanks for the explanation. I will be more carefull with my future contributions. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neskonezih (talk • contribs) 13:34, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Nikola Tesla edit request
Please revert your reactivation of the edit request template at Talk:Nikola Tesla. The edit request system is meant for uncontroversial and straight forward edits that can be done on a mechanical basis by uninvolved (and possibly unknowledgeable) editors. Any edit that is challenged by an editor in good standing is by definition controversial and not suitable to be inserted in this way. SpinningSpark 13:29, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
- Done. I was not really aware of the way the editreq system works. EdBever (talk) 19:07, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

(moved from userpage. --Dirk Beetstra T C 07:32, 21 October 2011 (UTC))
No new links are added to the site. The links are already there, put by someone else. I am just updating the links in the wiki, so that there will be no broken links on wiki pages.
How come an update of an already present, and used links be spam? Wireintheblood (talk) 18:12, 15 October 2011 (UTC)wireintheblood
- I see Beetstra has already answered your question at User_talk:Beetstra#About_Wisdomsupreme.com. I second his suggestion you discuss placing the link before inserting it again. Most of the info on your site could (or rather should) eventually be on wikipedia, I see no real reason to link to your site. EdBever (talk) 10:36, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
