Return

[edit]

I have decided to return to Wikipedia, however I do not plan to be editing as actively as I once was. I don't plan to patrol user/draftspace and wish to have more of a focus on articles and probably the Wikipedia namespace. I'll still be mostly improving music-related pages, but I'm still open to fighting general vandalism. Mori Calliope fan talk 00:04, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was a mistake I had tried to make it good I don't understand what you meant about the "shopping cart" article. Layth.Jebali (talk) 19:52, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Layth.Jebali: Your edit to the article was inappropriate because it appeared to add some commentary. Edits should be made in a neutral point of view, which means not referring to the reader, and you should do your best to add sources that support what you add to articles. Mori Calliope fan talk 20:19, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to use straight facts, also was "They are everywhere" commentary? Layth.Jebali (talk) 20:25, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
May I put it back on after you read this and the one above this? Layth.Jebali (talk) 20:26, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Layth.Jebali: Please read WP:V. You are not allowed to claim that your additions are straight facts, if your additions are contested, you have to add sources that back them up. And yes, they are everywhere, the use of the word we and us are violations of neutral point of view. Mori Calliope fan talk 20:34, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

the page was written about myself

[edit]

please do not remove my page; as i wrote the article about myself. It is not defamatory in any way. Thank you. Rebel colon3 (talk) 14:10, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Rebel colon3: Please read WP:BLPREMOVE. The draft you created consisted of material that was contentious, and was overall unsourced. You also shouldn't write an article about yourself, see WP:AUTO for more information. Mori Calliope fan talk 14:15, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e8bK1PIm97eNN6r5ZqJiyQuTXbRGWJJY/view?usp=sharing Hi, I don't know what you have against this link. Can you please help me? Kehas (talk) 01:22, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Kehas: I removed the link because I thought it was inappropriate for being hosted through Google Drive, a self-published source. I did not check the link itself and did not realize it is a seemingly legitimate image, sorry about that. If possible, try to find a non-webhost site that has the image, or if it is an image that you found yourself, you can upload it, provided it meets the copyright policy; see WP:FUW for more information. Regarding CSD:G6 at Kaumudi Nemani

[edit]

Hi there. You're probably seeing a lot of mention notifications regarding this, but to sum up:

Thanks. --Hadal (talk) 14:27, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Hadal: I put my thoughts on your user talk page. I read your user talk page before checking my other notifications, so I am a little late to read the discussions here and at WT:CSD. Mori Calliope fan talk 14:51, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Page semi-protected for now

[edit]

Hi Mori Calliope fan, I hope you don't mind me semi-protecting this page for a while. Even if you say you can deal with the harassment without protection, I'd like to reduce the amount of disruption the harasser can provide to all users here. You may like, but are not required, to create a subpage for non-autoconfirmed users' messages. If you do so, creating User talk:Mori_Calliope_fan/Editnotice to advertise it may be an idea. I personally currently would do neither for now, to maximize the effect of the protection. Best regards, ~ ToBeFree (talk) 09:47, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@ToBeFree: No worries. I actually find it funny that my user talk page is a regular target of vandalism. Mori Calliope fan talk 14:36, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To me, the primarily ugly aspect of this type of vandalism is that it isn't directed against the encyclopedia and its articles, but rather the project and the people who build it. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:58, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
