Hi mate

[edit]

good work on the DFC page, pics are cool; just a bit worried about the fixtures, think they could do with a tidying up - worried that wiki might delete them entirely. - BS

Page is really getting there. Will pick up my copy of The History of Dundalk FC the next time I'm home and I'll sort out the references. Cheers, BS.Belacqua Shuah 14:02, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me?

Hello Dunny! You're from Ireland, right? Do you speak gaelic? If yes, can you translate me this anthem when you get free time, please? Thank you very much! --Їковскаждиньскй! Єкажднуваче... 05:48, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-DundalkFCcrest.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:DundalkFCcrest.png. The copy called Image:DundalkFCcrest.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 15:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Irish

[edit]

Hiya, in some of the football articles you've been writing (well done on those, by the way), you've been using the ambiguous Irish link. As this could mean the language, the people, the island, the republic, etc, etc, that link points at a disambig page. Would you consider using Irish instead? Or, if you prefer, Irish? Or even Irish or Irish as the case may be? Personally, I think Irish is preferable as, in that context, I think people think of someone from the island of Ireland when they think of Irish people, but a case can be made for any of the others too. Thanks and keep up the good work! Gil Gamesh 21:16, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:NiallGallagher.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:NiallGallagher.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:20, 14 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 13:20, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Dundalk-FC.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dundalk-FC.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:10, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Dunny2oo7! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 7 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 178 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the list:

File permission problem with File:Singh.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Singh.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 13:26, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
