How many municipal authorities in Pennsylvania?
[edit]How many municipal authorities are there in Pennsylvania? There are two sources readily consulted, and your work should say how many there are in the 2007 Census of Governments. While it is likely that a substantial number have been created since 2002, it seems unlikely that over 700 would be created.
- Municipal authority (Pennsylvania) says "In its 2002 Census of Governments, the U.S. Census Bureau listed 1,885 municipal authorities in Pennsylvania."
- Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association says there are more than 2,600 authorities across Pennsylvania.
