Real Ghostbusters Missing Episodes

As I stated (though I hadn't logged in, there are hardly any links to prove the missing episodes on these DVD's, however I recently acquired all 10 of these DVD's and now I know what are missing. However I have provided reviews on Amazon on which volume had missing episodes and if they were available digitally. Believe it or not I was the one who pointed out the earlier missing episodes first, but didn't have the later volumes till now so I couldn't have known until I did some more research today. D31 (talk) 23:50, 11 April 2018 (UTC)David31584D31 (talk) 23:50, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi there...you really need to be able to provide reliable sources. Otherwise the information you're adding constitutes original research. You're welcome to discuss the situation at the article's Talk page if you'd prefer. DonIago (talk) 00:16, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Fine if that's the way you want to play it, then I'll remove ALL the information on the missing episodes I provided, since you're so blind that you didn't see that the original info had NO links to that either. I hope your satisfied with yourself! D31 (talk) 00:37, 12 April 2018 (UTC)David31584D31 (talk) 00:37, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Finding Nemo Soundtrack

Hey, why did you remove my edit where I added the soundtrack for Finding Nemo? I worked hard on that and you removed it without explaining why. Airgum (talk) 16:06, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

I believe I did mention the MoS in my edit summary. In any case, as discussed at WP:FILMSCORE, "Track listings for film scores are generally discouraged since the score is usually composed by one person and the score's tracks are generic descriptions of scenes from the film. Noteworthy tracks from the film score can be identified and discussed in prose." In this case the soundtrack appeared to be largely or entirely just score from the film, not individually noteworthy tracks. Sorry if you were frustrated by my reversion of your work, and thanks for coming to me with your concern. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 16:42, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Then how come the track listings are still up for other similar Pixar movies like Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story 2? Should I just make a separate article for the Finding Nemo soundtrack?Airgum (talk) 19:29, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi Airgum, my initial response is that just because other articles are doing something in a certain way doesn't mean they're doing it correctly, and that if you have concerns, you should bring them up at those articles' Talk pages or another suitable page, or possibly just delete the listing and hope for the best. I did notice that both of the listings for those articles do include vocal tracks as well, but if I was invested in those articles, I might myself question the need for a full track listing. Perhaps the matter has already been discussed at the talk pages for those articles? I would recommend against creating a separate article unless you have a significant amount of information regarding the soundtrack that could be reliably sourced, but I'm not immediately sure of the suitable guidelines on that. Hope this helps. DonIago (talk) 03:08, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Inquiry

I've added the choreographer credit for the page of the movie call me by your name, according to a public article from "corriere della sera", one of the main Newspaper in Italy. Why did you remove it? Have I done something wrong?

Thank you Likeyoudo (talk) 22:26, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Hello D. I moved this to the bottom of your page as it was lost in a thread above. Here is the film in question Call Me by Your Name (film) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs). Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 22:41, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks Marnette. @Likeyoudo: there's no "Choreographer" parameter for Template:Infobox film. Adding that had no effect on the infobox and didn't cause anything to display visibly. We typically don't add non-recognized fields to infoboxes. Hope this clears things up! DonIago (talk) 23:35, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for the reply Doniago, and sorry for not posting my last question in the right place. The infobox issue sounds clear to me now, but my editing of the paragraph has also been reverted...again have I done something wrong? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Likeyoudo (talkcontribs) 11:48, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

No worries. I'm afraid I can't speak to why the paragraph you added was removed.Damian Vo (talk · contribs) deleted the paragraph but didn't provide an edit summary when they did so. I would have to recommend either leaving a comment at their Talk page, or starting a discussion at the article's Talk page. The latter may be more beneficial as other edits with an interest in the film would be more likely to see the discussion and weigh in. I would note that deleting information from an article, especially sourced information, without providing an edit summary is generally considered poor form; in fact there's an applicable user warning template that can be used in such instances. Hope this helps! DonIago (talk) 12:52, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

It helps a lot! Thank you very much! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Likeyoudo (talkcontribs) 21:35, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

You're welcome! DonIago (talk) 02:55, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Can those both films be considered to be of Musical genre? Because in my opinion, the biggest high-ranking details on these both films were the large inclusion of licensed songs from 1962 – 1986 (mostly the ones protagonist Peter Quill / Star-Lord hears in his walkman).

Iago PUC (talk) 21:41, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
I would give that a firm "No", as it's not the characters themselves singing, but you're welcome to ask the question at the articles' Talk pages if you'd like additional opinions. DonIago (talk) 02:31, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

Family Guy

I want protection removed, so I can add information. I also asked several admins to do it and they said I can propose changes to its talk page. 71.202.112.200 (talk) 22:21, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

That's correct. You can find the details at Wikipedia:Edit requests. Without more specifics I can't really weigh in on this, especially as I'm not an admin in any case. Cheers! DonIago (talk) 22:24, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

I did add a reference to what I was writing, and it came write out the shows and sources. Starspotter (talk) 21:05, 27 April 2018 (UTC)

Please note that new Talk page threads should generally be placed at the bottom of the page. Thanks.
I saw that you added two paragraphs and did not see a citation added for the paragraph I removed. You've been warned about being careful about this multiple times before, so I don't know why you're not being more careful to ensure that anything you add has a clear citation. DonIago (talk) 21:37, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
Hi Don, I think there is some sort problem with the code on your page. If you try to add a comment using the section "DRN Case Status" it appears on top. Also, even though table of contents shows it on top, its on the bottom. Cheers Starspotter (talk) 11:06, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads-up. You can always click the + sign at the top of the page to add a new section, or scroll down to the bottom of my page and add a new section that way. I wanted the DRN Case Status to be at the bottom of my page, which required a little unconventional coding. DonIago (talk) 02:58, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I do believe my edit was neutral. It is an indisputable fact that Maria Callas indeed remains the most notable interpreter of the role of Medea. It is not a matter of opinion. And not to mention her in this article is a real sacrilege. Her contribution to the popularity of this opera is immense. She really did revive this opera which had not been performed for decades (since 1909, to be precise). I demand that my edit be restored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.100.248.160 (talk) 19:00, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

If it's such a well-known fact, then it should be easy enough to provide a reliable source establishing said fact. Also, I fear you'll find that demanding your fellow editors do anything won't get you very far; we work by consensus here. Cheers! DonIago (talk) 19:40, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

Zootopia

There are several scenes of police corruption, one scene of police brutality and one scene of the use of torture to elicit a confession by police. Thanks for checking.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Infocidal (talkcontribs)

In order for that to qualify for categorization, it would need to be mentioned in the article and reliably-sourced. Have sources discussed this? DonIago (talk) 05:54, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
Also, the correct category name would be Category:Police misconduct in fiction. When you added it it appears you included several underscores. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 05:58, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
From LA Confidential "The three protagonists are LAPD officers. Edmund Exley, the son of legendary detective Preston Exley, is a "straight arrow" who informs on other officers in a police brutality scandal." From LA Confidential (film) "Officer Wendell "Bud" White, whom Exley considers a "mindless thug", is a plainclothes officer obsessed with violently punishing woman-beaters." From Cruising "Burns mistakenly compels the police to interrogate a waiter, Skip Lee (Jay Acovone), who is intimidated and beaten to coerce a confession before the police discover Skip's fingerprints don't match the killer's. Burns is disturbed by this police brutality, and tells Captain Edelson he didn't sign on for this so that they can arrest anyone just because he's gay." Did you read these before reverting them, or did you do it mindlessly? Infocidal (talk) 06:00, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
First, a rather rude comment in that last question. Second - That. Wasn't. Me. DonIago (talk) 06:07, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
My bad, it was rude because I thought it was you. Apologies. Infocidal (talk) 06:10, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Oh good grief

Many apologies for this D. I could have sworn that I was fixing my spelling error (both time for heavens sake) even when I used the show preview button. I'm off to the eye doctor to figure out what went wrong. A trout slap and a facepalm are part of my day as well. I'm glad you figured out my snafu and I hope you will forgive me. Best regards. MarnetteD|Talk 14:51, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

No worries!
At first I was mystified by why you were changing my edit (not that I'd necessarily mind you fixing a typo), especially since you were actually inserting a typo into my text at that point. It wasn't until I paid more attention to what you'd said that I figured out your own typo and it suddenly all made sense.
More amusing than anything else, really.
If it would make you feel better, feel free to give me a warning for editing others' Talkpage comments. :p DonIago (talk) 16:04, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
That would be a hoot D. Thanks for your response - much appreciated. MarnetteD|Talk 16:24, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi. I saw Kong: Skull Island and noticed two scenes where King Kong was in with a Sker Buffalo (which is an ancestor of the water buffalo). The first scene was him badly reacting to one being preyed upon by a Skullcrawler and the second one was where he lifted a helicopter off one that was outside the natives' village. This was even noticed by those who contributed to the different Fandom sites that featured the info on the King Kong franchise. As for the 2005 version of Skull Island, is there a way to sort the creatures that appeared in that film from the ones that appeared in Skull Island: The World of Kong (which followed the 2005 film). --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:58, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

It's okay to state what occurs in the films, but to state why Kong does the things he does is to ascribe motives, which gets into original research.
As far as sorting the creatures that appear in one versus the other - subsections? DonIago (talk) 16:30, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
I think that might work for the 2005 version of Skull Island's inhabitants. --Rtkat3 (talk) 17:32, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
