Apologies for the edit! In all my North American ignorance, I've never in my life seen the elsewhere-standard spelling of instal(l)ment. The offending edit wasn't an attempt to impose my opinion of a 'superior' regional spelling standard on Wikipedia as a whole, but rather an attempt (born of unfamiliarity) to fix what I'd thought was simply a typographical error gone unspotted. Thank you for bringing the actual case to my attention.

Roman Spinner

Roman Spinner has been making some edits in In the Heat of the Night on the cast section that's probably in the Wikipedia guidelines. He's adding the list of opening and closing cast sections on that movie, which doesn't sound necessary. I reverted them in the past because it was too bulky on smaller computers with those tables he put on them, as you can on the diff here. After I told Roman about that, he did so again on the cast section with the opening and closing credit lists without the tables as you can see it on the diff here. I think there's something that needs to be solved because I don't think opening and closing credits isn't necessary in the cast section in film articles. Moving on

I've become a better user since that incident a while ago. Instead of acting silly, I've decided to focus on uploading images and adding them to articles that need them. Frankly, messages like "I don't like being ignored" create exactly the kind of uncomfortable environment for me that caused me to not initially respond to your original message. If you've really changed, then the best way to establish that is through productive editing habits, and understanding that editors who had difficulty with you in the past may not be immediately comfortable engaging with you again. Replying to your comment on my Romeo+Juliet edit

Hey Doniago! I simply mentioned that the film was included on the British Film Institute's list of films to see before the age of 14. I attempted to make a link to the WIKI entry which is simply a list of the 50 movies. For some reason the 'link' went orange instead of blue, so it didn't work. I didn't think a source was necessary when simply saying 'this is on a list - here's the list.' BTW, I put two brackets around the 'link,' and used the exact words of the title of the WIKI page. Firstly, when leaving messages on Talk pages, please sign your posts by adding four tildes (~) to the end. Thanks!

Generally when adding new information to articles, it is always best to include a citation so that readers can verify the information you've added. Note that Wikipedia articles are not considered reliable sources and should not be cited, per WP:CIRCULAR.

When trying to include a Wikilink in general, the format would be [[Article name|optional text to display instead of article name]]. Note the double-brackets, versus single brackets which should be used when linking to a site other than Wikipedia (which, other than as references, you shouldn't typically do within the body of an article).

So, uh, thanks for all your hard work annnnd...um...for not burning out! Oh, and I liked how, instead of deleting sections that had been unsourced for a long time, you moved them to the talk page under a show/hide header at John Matuszak. That procedure and its benefits compared to other methods might be worth an essay that includes instructions. Hm, I wonder if there is a subcategory of WP essays for essays with instructions... Thank you very much for your kind words! If it's just a sentence or two I usually just outright delete, but for larger-scale text issues I do try to "archive" to the Talk page. It's not only a nice thing to do, but it preserves the text in a more accessible manner than going through the revision history, and (this may be a little cheap), for the people who would argue that the text is being deleted, it provides a useful counterpoint that the text is readily available and just waiting to be reinserted...with appropriate citations.

I don't know about an essay per se, but I'd be willing to write (or assist with writing) a how-to guide in the vein of Help:Pictures...though less elaborate if left to my own devices. DonIago (talk) 14:54, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

Done Sorry that took so long. Due to some questionable design by the teams behind internet standards, your specific request happens to be unnecessarily hard to implement in CSS and I had to do some research. There is an element at the top of the page to switch the page into Flexbox mode, and a wrapper around the template which uses Flexbox properties to force it to the bottom of the page. Feel free to ping be if you have any further requests – you were lucky this time, but most {{help me}} responders are not as technically skilled. :) TheDragonFire (talk) 10:58, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
