Belated welcome
[edit]Hello, Devendra prashant Tripathi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. I've taken the liberty of making a few changes for you, as discussed at the Teahouse. If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to ask me on my talk page or place {{Help me}}
on this page and someone will drop by to help.
Usernames and personal information
[edit]Hi again, Devendra. I got a bit worried today when I saw you had included quite a lot of personal information about yourself on your userpage. So, purely to protect your privacy, I removed the details and made your page a bit more vague about where you live. A helpful adminstrator has now deleted all record of what was there before. (In case you hadn't appreciated it, every single edit anyone makes on Wikipedia is permanently recorded - you just have to click 'View History' on any page to go back and check out any previous edit. So nothing is permanently hidden, unless it is specially removed, as we've done here for you)
Please don't think you've done anything wrong - you honestly haven't. But we felt it was not in your best interests to leave all those details visible - I hope you understand.
If you'd like to think about it, and fancy changing your account name to something more anonymous, do let me know by replying here. You could talk to your parents about what's best. I can then seek the right assistance to help you make any changes you want. Take a look at this page (WP:USERNAME) which is all about the kind of usernames that are best, and keeps you anonymous - there's nothing wrong in editing in that way. The video on that page shows lots of people - young and old - with a wide range of usernames.
Of course, if you want help on anything else about editing Wikipedia, you can always leave another note at the Teahouse. All the very best at the start of your Wikipedia journey! I hope it's an amazing one for you, like it has been for me. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 01:01, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
