WikiProject Weather: Map Dot & Template/Infobox Colors
Dear project member, This message is being sent out to encourage new ideas and feedback on those proposed in regard to the colors debate for WikiProject Weather. For those who are unaware of what's been happening over the last year, I will give a brief summary. We have been discussing proposed changes to the colors of the dots on tropical cyclone maps and templates and infoboxes across the entire weather project in order to solve issues related to the limited contrast between colors for both normal vision as well as the various types of color blindness (MOS:ACCESS). We had partially implemented a proposal earlier this year, however, it was objected to by a number of people and additional issues were presented that made it evident this wasn't the optimal solution. We tried to come up with other solutions to address the issues related to color contrast, however, none of them gained traction and no consensus was generated.
We need your help and I encourage you to propose your own scale and give feedback on those already listed. Keep in mind that we are NOT making a decision on any individual proposal at this time. We are simply allowing people to make proposals and cultivate them given feedback from other project members. Please visit our project page for additional details. The proposal phase will close no later than December 31st at 23:59 UTC. NoahTalk 03:23, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

RE: Pretty Cure vandalism
Hello CycloneYoris,
I may be retired, but I do check in on a few articles that I still have on my watch list, one of which is Pretty Cure. I noticed that you have restored vandalism to the article twice now claiming that a source is needed to undo the vandalism. As far as I know, there is no policy requiring a source to undo vandalism. You also inappropriately gave an editor a warning for clean up said vandalism. Care to explain your actions on why you are restoring the vandalism to the article and insist on new sources for dates that are already sourced in their respective articles? —Farix (t | c) 02:35, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- @TheFarix: Hmm are you sure we're both viewing the same article? I wasn't "restoring" any form of vandalism as you're erroneously claiming (as you can see here). I was actually reverting the vandal who insisted on changing the dates without giving any proper explanation (they also failed to provide any source for making these changes). Also, the editor you've mentioned is possibly the same person as the IP who keeps changing the dates. CycloneYoris talk! 03:07, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- The vandals originally changed the dates from starting 2004 to current day to 1994 to 2013[1] and then reverted them back.[2] If you check to dates cited in the individual articles,[3] and epsidoe lists you will see the series running from 2004 to current day. Why you and other editors keep restoring the vandalized dates without checking sources is beyond me. As for claiming that Mo0niez is the IP vandal, I remind you to assume good faith as there is no evidence connecting the editor with the IP edits. But if you insist that the 1994 to 2013 dates are correct, can you cite a reliable source for them? —Farix (t | c) 03:57, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- @TheFarix: I'll go ahead and restore the last clean revision of the article [4] before the vandal started to change the dates. It seems that another editor possibly accepted a revision that was incorrect, and that's what started this misunderstanding (which went unnoticed until now). CycloneYoris talk! 04:27, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, I see you've already done so! Never mind. CycloneYoris talk! 04:29, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

Sword Art Online
Hi, I don't get why Sword Art Online Clover's Regret infobox has to stay even if I create an article about it, since it's just a spin-off series like Alternative Gun Gale Online (which in fact doesn't have an infobox, it's just in the "Other" list) JohnnyyyFox (talk) 20:30, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
??? JohnnyyyFox (talk) 15:04, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- You should take this to the article's talk page. All I know is that you shouldn't be removing any infobox or template from any article without having a proper discussion about it first. It's also important to try to seek consensus before removing anything (especially an infobox or template) since your removal may affect other readers as well. CycloneYoris talk! 15:14, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- I've just started a discussion on Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online article about its title, but I'm asking to you too because I'm not sure that someone will reply to me in the discussion. Shouldn't be "Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online"? JohnnyyyFox (talk) 16:43, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- I guess that's the right place to open a discussion on the subject. You could also refer to WP:RM and request a page move there if you think that renaming the page is needed. CycloneYoris talk! 18:27, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

Sorry.
I just hope things are fine with using the name "Stromboli". I am just hoping that it was all fine and for fun. You know about Disney's copyrights and other copyrights from studios. I'm sorry about the vandal-ness. 2001:8003:F215:4500:701E:266:4F4B:7A1F (talk) 21:53, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Vandalism?
What was unconstructive or vandalistic about my edit to List of monarchs by nickname? There are no sources referring to Hvitserk as "Haraldr," but there are several scholars connecting him and attributing the "White-shirt" epithet to Halfdan Ragnarsson. If I wanted to vandalize this would be a very strange thing to choose. 85.164.238.72 (talk) 07:57, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Is there a reason you're ignoring this? 85.164.238.72 (talk) 23:29, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
- Nope, no reason at all. If you want to know why I reverted your edits, it's because you failed to provide an edit summary which is why I reverted you in the first place. Please go ahead and discuss this on the article's talk page, instead of bringing it up here for no reason. CycloneYoris talk! 23:55, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

Yvj
I'm curious why you relisted Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 January 9#Yvj? The "keep" and "procedural retarget" votes are effectively the same (they can be interpreted as "keep, then fix the double redirect" and "fix the double redirect, then keep") and no contrary opinions were expressed. Thryduulf (talk) 23:03, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Thryduulf: Because YVJ was previously a DAB, and some participants are suggesting that the present target should be kept if the DAB is restored. I'll add a relisting comment for further clarification. CycloneYoris talk! 23:20, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Klete Keller
Thank you for the reverting the IP edit on Klete Keller. FYI, that's a blocked editor (Defeedme) who is hopping around IP addresses and making the same changes each time. Been going on for a while. Wes sideman (talk) 14:04, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Wes sideman: You're welcome! I knew something fishy was going on and that's why I was reluctant to accept their edits, but Constant314 didn't seem to agree. Anyways, I'm glad I was able to help out with that. CycloneYoris talk! 19:22, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
- @CycloneYoris, @Wes sideman Greetings. I approved the IP as a pending change reviewer. As I understand my roll, it is to stop vandalism, obvious edit warring, and other obvious non-constructive editing. The edit did not appear to me to be any of those, so I approved it. When it came up again, I felt like the IP editor had a point that it was better to mention the specific single felony conviction rather than the vague "convicted felon". I have no opinion over which fact goes first or whether the subject is a swimmer or a former swimmer. When you hover over a blue-link, pretty much all you get is the intro. I think it better serves the reader to be specific in the intro in this case. I don't plan to be otherwise involved. I hope you will consider my opinion. Constant314 (talk) 20:19, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
