Since I happen to have the French Combined Library Catalogue bookmarked, I looked there for his date of birth and found it given as 1947 - under both his names! HJMG 17:43, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi - Actually I found it by chance while browsing the list of new pages. Perhaps the French name caught my eye - and I am always pleased to find pages which are about ideas or history or books or . . . . . . . . Hope you will keep on making interesting contributions.HJMG 08:18, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
