Draft:United Malays National Organisation Youth

Hi @BuySomeApples, first off thanks for taking your time in reviewing my article, but I have a few reasons on why UMNO Youth shouldn't be merged with its parent page and should have a page of its own.

1. The youth wing holds its own influence within the Malaysian political scene

Although UMNO Youth is technically a division within it's parent party, the youth wing holds significant influence among Malaysians and it also has its own leadership committee that differs with its parent party. On the other hand, most Malaysian heads of government, federal ministers and members of parliament from UMNO rose from the youth wing first.

2. Youth political representation for its parent party in the global scene

The United Malays National Organisation is not a small party with zero roots or history. The party has ruled Malaysia for more than 6 decades, it's also the country's oldest and largest party and it is currently one of the largest active parties in the world amassing over 3 million members. The youth wing itself was established since the 1950s, and I believe that UMNO Youth should have its own page just as the same as how the Republicans/GOP have Young Republicans and the UK Conservatives have Young Conservatives in WP.

Hi @Didyara: that makes a lot of sense and I understand. The only thing is that on Wikipedia a page's acceptance depends on how notability can be determined through sources, so the page will need to be edited if the next reviewer is to accept it. The reason I declined the draft is because it is very brief and could easily fit as a section on the main page. Also, the most in-depth sources seem to focus on the main party. The youth wing might actually be notable on its own AND need a full page of its own to fit all the necessary info but the current page draft isn't there yet.
