I've noticed a lot of updates to these lately, some of which needed to be undone. Some policies that may help avoid adding content that will be removed are at WP:GAMECRUFT, which has some guidelines about various game related details that are unnecessary or inappropriate for Wikipedia, and WP:PLOT, which covers guidelines for plot sections both in video games and other media.
