What do you think of this section. I am not one to delete sections but this one I can make an acception. − Jhenderson 777 16:55, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- Go ahead and delete it. There aren't any sources and its poorly presented. BOVINEBOY2008 16:57, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Removed instructions of Category:Upcoming films
I was the one who put the instructions of {{film date}} (previously {{Upcoming film}}) in that page. Why was it removed? --Gh87 (talk) 01:22, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
- It is an entirely different template with different application. You can add new documentation for {{Film date}} if you want, but it should be different than what it said for {{Upcoming film}}. BOVINEBOY2008 05:48, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Super (2010 Indian film)
Dear Bovineboy2008, thank you for renaming the Super (2010 Indian film) page and for all the minor fixes. However, I have some reservations on the edit you made at Line 25 of http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Super_%282010_Indian_film%29&diff=prev&oldid=400641807 The image was purposely aligned to Center so that it flows with the relevant text above the image (which discusses the film title which is the symbol contained in image). Kindly consider the same and let me know if I can change it back to Center and not right thumb. Thank you. Niri.M 09:38, 5 December 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Niri.M (talk • contribs)
- I think that the center alignment does not work well. Instead of being an aid to the text, it interrupts it. I moved it to be left aligned, let me know what you think. BOVINEBOY2008 10:03, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
It's good enough. Thanks again. Niri.M 10:21, 5 December 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Niri.M (talk • contribs)
Orphaned non-free image File:Double Negative.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Double Negative.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 07:54, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Stay Cool
I don't consider it an official release because it only had one showing in 2009. Since it wasn't released it theaters, I guess we can consider it an 2010 film, as it was released to DVD to several different places. And also, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't film festivals usually done for indie films so they can get a distributor? ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT 11:58, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- I don't mean to offend, but we don't base this on your considerations. IMDb, Allmovie and Rotten Tomatoes all consider it a 2009 film. And we classify films by their first public release, no matter how limited it is. Even if we were to consider this a 2010 film based on the DVD release, would you consider this a direct-to-video film? I wouldn't. And in answer to your other question, many other films are first aired in film festivals even if they have distributors. BOVINEBOY2008 14:01, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Hey I ask you to put a watch on this article. I am worried that some of the casts may be made up. − Jhenderson 777 15:55, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Consider it done. I'll look for another source instead of IMDb to back this up too. BOVINEBOY2008 15:57, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok thank you. That's all I ask! :) − Jhenderson 777 16:03, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
WikiProject 4400
I noticed that you were a member of Wikiproject 4400. It appears that the project is basically dead but I wanted to check with some of the members before I drop an inactive tag on it. Is this project still active? --Kumioko (talk) 03:55, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- As far as I'm concerned it is dead. Once in a while there will be an edit to the main article, but that's the most I've seen. BOVINEBOY2008 05:40, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok thanks. --Kumioko (talk) 14:54, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Edits to cast section on Tron: Legacy Article
Hello. I noticed that you had undid my recent clarification edit to the Tron: Legacy article's cast section, and provided no justification for doing so. I had bolded character names, which is a common practice amongst many media related Wiki articles, especially those in which one person/actor portrays several characters. Before I attempt to redo my edit (which I'm sure you will have a compulsion to immediately undo again), I was hoping you inform me as to what your reasoning was behind undoing it in the first place? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zargabaath (talk • contribs) 17:08, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- WP:FILMCAST: "Neither the actor nor role name should be bolded." BOVINEBOY2008 17:11, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well, thank you for that information. I have been contributing to Wikipedia for years and this was never the policy. Granted, the MOS' are constantly being updated with no notification to contributors. And although this is obviously a misinterpretation of the Wiki MOS that someone saw fit to apply to the MOS for films, I guess I have to abide by it now. Ironically, the boldface standard contains no references to justify how it's being applied in the Film MOS. Unfortunate, as it will inevitably cause confusion. Thanks anyway. Zargabaath 17:37, 10 December 2010 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zargabaath (talk • contribs)
- The justification comes from MOS:BOLD, which advises against bolding for emphasis. If you think it is a misinterpretation, please bring it up at WT:FILM. Also, don't forget to sign your posts. BOVINEBOY2008 17:41, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- I am aware of where the "justification" comes from, however, bolding a character name is not done for emphasis, it is for clarification on the part of the reader; this is completely unrelated to the MOS:BOLD specifications, hence why I called it a misinterpretation. I would take it up at WT:FILM, but I'm sure you know as well as I do how that will end. Thank you for the reminder about signing my posts! Unfortunately, due to Wiki programming errors beyond my control, all of my posts are autosigned regardless! Zargabaath 18:00, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Fanboys
I've moved the page back to Fanboys (2009 film) - I'm assuming you moved it to Fanboys (2008 film), based on the idea that the SDCC screening was the premiere date - this is incorrect, as the 2008 screening was not an actual premiere, the actual release date, or indeed, the first screening, as screenings had taken place as early as 2007. Since the film didn't go into wide release until 2009, that should remain as the year in the title disambiguation. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 19:54, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, didn't realize this was incorrect. What was up with the Comic-Con thing then? Did they just show a preview, not the whole film? BOVINEBOY2008 20:35, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- The Comic-Con screening was a private sneak preview, not part of the convention film festival. However, this was also not the first screening of the film, as it had been screened at another event in 2007 before the drama with the Weinsteins. However, I don't think that individual sneak previews of any kind should count towards any film's release date, otherwise we'd have to re-evaluate the "release date" for almost every major release of the last few years. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 21:56, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation! BOVINEBOY2008 07:22, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Well, that explanation makes sense. I think it's fair to say that your previous comment "no awards like this" was confusing to say the least. I'm not sure that the campaign is consistent with WP:LEAD, though. Kenilworth Terrace (talk) 21:24, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry I wasn't clear the first time. The whole goal of that task is to avoid the "award-winning" and variations of that in lede sentences because it gives little information, and often puts emphasis on one aspect of an individual and can even be seen as WP:PEACOCK. Higdon Revision
You asked for me to point you to other composers that list the Pulitzer prize in their opening lines. They include John Adams, Steven Stucky, Joseph Schwantner, Melinda Wagner, Ellen Taffe Zwilich, William Bolcom and Shulamit Ran, among others. Given that both the Grammy and Pulitzer awards and facts, I don't understand what the issue is with having them in the opening lines. Furthermore, these are more fully explained in the body of the text making the information sufficient.
