Speedy deletion

[edit]

I noticed that you tagged the page Image:Uk-devon.png for speedy deletion with the reason "Not used and obsolete tag. Similar used image at Image:EnglandDevon.png". However, "Not used and obsolete tag. Similar used image at Image:EnglandDevon.png" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use one of our other deletion processes, Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion if you still want the image to be deleted. Thanks!

Map of Nauru

[edit]

hello, you asked for a Vectorized map of Nauru, here you are Image:Nauru-Hauptkarte-fr.svg, you just have to translate it in english. --Kimdime69 02:17, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will download a blank map so it will be easier for you, for the majority of the words you don't have to translate from french, the CIA map in the Nauru article will help you--Kimdime69 02:44, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So now you have the blank map: Image:Image-Nauru-Hauptkarte-fr.svg good luck!--Kimdime69 02:56, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry i can't help you cause I don't use Inkscape and I don't know hoz it work, I think it would be better ask someone of the graphic lab--Kimdime69 06:37, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Technically Sydney Tower isn't a skyscraper as it's not continuously habitable, but I'll let you off with that infobox! Nice work. --Steve (Slf67) talk 01:27, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flag of Yukon

[edit]

I would try to figure out what led to them wanting to adopt a flag, besides a cool PR stunt. That might explain why they had no flag before. If Yukon had no flag prior to 1968 it would be interesting to know why. Did other Canadian provinces and territories also not adopt flags until relatively modern history? It would be interesting to see how Yukon compares with those I think. Hope that helps.A mcmurray (talkcontribs) 05:56, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, hypothetical flag, sorry. Probably WP:OR at the very least, I suppose it depends on who published it and whether or not they meet the standards laid down at Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Email answers would probably fall under OR too, unfortunately. Tis the nature of encyclopedia work though.A mcmurray (talkcontribs) 05:58, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Farboud.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 04:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Farboud.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Farboud.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
