Illinois Templates

[edit]

Hey, I have noticed that you have started helping us convert the Illinois templates. If you would, could you look at Template:Ogle County, Illinois, and model it after that one? We are seperating the Cities/Villages/Unincorporated areas as per the US county template. Let me know if you have any questions or anything. Thanks!--Kranar drogin 10:57, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the way you did it is fine. There are not very many "towns" in Illinois to begin with, so putting them on the same line as the city is fine. One thing you may want to do is check with NACo here for unincorporated communities and add them to the template as you go along. Basically what you do is click on Adams County for Example which brings up this [1], then click on Places in Adams County on the right like this [2], and then down at the bottom is a title "Other places in Adams County not listed by the US Census Bureau" which are the unincorporated places. I would skip Cook County doing this though. Thanks for helping us out on this.--Kranar drogin 10:44, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, VerruckteDan says to seperate the towns and cities, so lets go ahead and do that from now on. Illinois only has 16, so its no biggie.--Kranar drogin 22:30, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Beecher, Illinois

[edit]

You recently added a infobox to this article. However the map shows Beecher in the wrong county. It should be north of the county line, not centered south of it as it is currently. I suspect this is a calibrateion problem as Grant Park, Illinois looks slightly to far south as well. I couldn't easily determine what templates are involved or even where to discuss this more generally. Rmhermen 19:54, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found it and adjusted it. Hopefully I haven't created any new problems. Rmhermen 20:06, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Kankakee Area

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Kankakee Area requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 03:13, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stonyhurst

[edit]

I just received a message from you telling me that an edit I made to Stonyhurst College has been reverted and appears unhelpful. Actually I was replacing an incorrect link with the correct one, and will undo your incorrect reversion. 86.156.194.35 (talk) 02:35, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Carl Gustav M/45 has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Oh, I'm sorry about that. I meant to revert the vandalism, and it seems I accidentally reverted you instead. Sorry for the inconvenience. :) Keilana|Parlez ici 03:17, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
