RFA

[edit]

Hi, Apologies for removing part of your !vote - Obviously that was unintentional, I've had to remove the indents tho as your indents were causing my note to be counted as a !vote, That's one drawback to the RFA process the indents!, Anyway happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 22:50, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Davey2010: No worries; I understand completely. Those indents can be very frustrating sometimes! Have a great rest of your night! :) 65HCA7 22:52, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Compromised user account
Your account has been blocked indefinitely because it is suspected that it has been compromised. If you are able to confirm that you are the user who created this account, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section), then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.Swarm 05:08, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • If this is a false alarm I apologize in advance, but I could not come up with any alternative explanation as to why a perfectly constructive vandal fighter in good standing would commit straightforward vandalism within an otherwise-acceptable reversion, as this account did here. This situation needs to be clarified, as it appears your account has been compromised by a vandal. Swarm 05:16, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Swarm: I am indeed the person who made that edit; I was not intentionally trying to vandalise or anything, just revert the improper edit the prior user had made. The reason for the "snake people" replacement was purely the result of a browser extension (I have an extension that changes "millennials" in pages to "snake people", and did not know until just now that it replaced text in dialog boxes too); it was completely accidental and unintentional, in addition to not being the kind of thing I as a good-faith editor in good standing would even think of doing intentionally. I have uninstalled the extension, deeply regret the error, understand what happened, and promise that it will never happen again. 65HCA7 11:04, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Without further ado, accepting this unblock request after reasonable explanation; this kind of text-replacing extension incident does happen sometimes. Alex Shih (talk) 12:47, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alex Shih: Thank you very much; have a great rest of your day! 65HCA7 12:53, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Barnstar of Good Humor
Upon hearing your explanation, I think the situation is hilarious, one of the funniest unintentional errors I've witnessed here. My sincere apologies for blocking your account, I hope there are no hard feelings. Best regards, Swarm 17:10, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Swarm: Don't worry about it - stuff happens all the time, and many users I look up to around here have stuff in their block log too. Glad to see you got humour out of this incident. :D No hard feelings whatsoever. Cheers! 65HCA7 20:01, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Where exactly should I send a message 65HCA7? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BalancedViewoncancer (talkcontribs) 23:04, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

BalancedViewoncancer: I moved your comment to a new section at the bottom of the page per the talk page guidelines. Feel free to post any questions, comments, or concerns below this comment here or in a new section.
Cheers! 65HCA7 22:45, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Edit to add (since I didn't see this before I made my original comment): the discussion on the neutral point of view noticeboard seems to sum up the appropriateness of your situation perfectly; other users were able to explain things in even more detail than I was, and as such I think we're done here. 65HCA7 22:48, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
