Admin coaching
I noticed your name at Wikipedia:Admin_coaching/Requests. I'd coach you, but I'm not sure you'd want such a new admin as a coach. ;) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 17:13, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, that's a rather strange motive! Sure, I'll put it in the "matched requests" section... now you can say you had a coach as well! ;) Do you want to create a generic /Coaching subpage or just leave be? Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 17:24, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
All right, we'll just keep it to this section. I have this watchlisted; feel free to reply here. You plan to mainly fight vandals as an admin, is that correct? Do you have WP:AWB, WP:VandalProof, and/or WP:TW installed? Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 17:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it seems you have a lot on your hands. I suggest continuing with the GA work, and using VP more often - User:The Rambling Man/The Rambling Man, on vandalism. Your graphic work is good, but I suggest not welcoming so many users - people will accuse you of "pumping up your edit count", whatever that's supposed to mean. The graphics work is good, but if you intend to work at DYK, the RfA regulars probably won't think 4 will cut it. You should probably raise the count to around ten.
- A good place to work for DYKs is WP:AFC. You can check that out. Also, have you every closed any XFDs? If not, you should. (obviously you can only close them as keep, but non-admin closures are allowed.) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 17:54, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- I do think it should be userfied, since it's scope isn't quite big enough for the template namespace. Move it to your userspace, and then I'll delete it. Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 18:20, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Could you create a "mock" RfA with answers to the questions as a subpage of your userpage? I'd like to see your answers for some of the questions. Additionally, a poke: are you done with substing the welcomes yet? Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 01:36, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- For question two, I think you'll need a bit more mainspace than that. Did you do any notable work on articles on one of your old accounts? Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 23:03, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- I have a question: what areas do you tend to focus on in your mainspace work on Wikipedia? I need to know for a possible assignment. Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 01:39, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

New "Admin Coaching" Section
I started this new section because the scrolling was getting hard. ;) Reviewing your mainspace interests, here's your assignment: Get Battle of Baghdad (1258) to pass WPMILHIST A-class review. GA before that is optional, but it'll earn you extra brownie points ;) Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:37, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- By the way, I have to ask your opinion on this: Should I join the military history WikiProject? Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:38, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- From now on, I'll leave messages on your /admin subpage. Nousernamesleftcopper, not wood 21:17, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

help?
//Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have a question or require help with Wikipedia, you can leave me a new message here.//
Hi,
I assume you are a wikipedia editor. I could not figure out how to communicate to an editor about a discrepancy I noticed in this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artists , so i'm just wondering if you could help out.
In this page, fleetwood mac is listed under 50-75 million, which imho is quite wrong.
fleetwood mac have sold well over 100 million, and I request you to check my sources to convince yourself, and possibly correct the page. Sorry if you are not the person to be contacted about this, but I really couldn't find my way around and ended up here. :)
sources:
http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/fleetwoodmac/biography
last para "By 2000, Fleetwood Mac had sold more than 100 million copies of its albums - including 25 million for Rumours alone - making it one of the most popular rock bands in history."
http://www.vh1.com/artists/interview/1472061/20030523/fleetwood_mac.jhtml
"Fleetwood Mac: Over 100 Million Served"
A general google search of "fleetwood mac 100 million" might throw more worthy sources, but i guess this much is enough.

- Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
I have updated/corrected the wrong datum, now they are listed as having sold 100-200 million records.
The page was semi-protected, which means IP editors and accounts not older than 4 days were not allowed to edit it, this is perhaps why you could not edit it. However, if you encounter this situation in the future, you can go ahead and correct the article, provided suitable sources are cited.
PS. Did you have another account which you used before and where I have welcomed you?
Cheers!
Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 13:58, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the information and the editing. Yes, i created this account just to edit that datum, and know nothing about wikipiedia editing as such. I had no idea that I could edit after 4 days, in which case I wouldnt have bugged you :).
Did you have another account which you used before and where I have welcomed you?
Well, you havent. I thought that particular page was controlled by specific editors, but couldnt figure out who. I was aimlessly browsing around, when I saw you had written "Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have a question or require help with Wikipedia, you can leave me a new message here." on your profile page, so the idea of contacting you dawned to me. That is the line I quoted in my first post to you.
cheers! SSS —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sasa111 (talk • contribs) 09:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi
Hi :)
I've been creating pages thanks to the useful links you gave me for the characters from Harukanaru Toki no Naka De. However two of them (Inori and Eisen) have names that there are already existing (non-related) articles titled under.
I know you can make a page a sub of a subject (such as Harukanaru Toki no Naka De|Inori or such like) but I can't find how to do it so it doesn't mess up. At the moment I've got six of the eight major male characters with proper manga/anime referenced pages but I can't finish it without knowing how to create pages for Inori and Eisen.
It must be in the instructions somewhere, I just haven't managed to find it. Any advice you can give would be most gratefully recieved!

What you did...
You put a "speedy tag" on Sean Gillet. That's what provoked the vandalism. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:46, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks.
I appreciate you taking the time to ping me. I am new to the Wikipedia community, but am a programmer by trade so picking up the new vernacular isn't overly difficult. I am curious by what you mean when you say I have to "sign my comments." You don't mean sign my "entries" do you?
Thanks again, CrazyBobcat (talk) 15:33, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Myo-
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Myo-, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 21:01, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I think this article is GA. In fact this is the good first article among about ten article which I've reviewed. But the former reviewer didn't pass it. [1] Can you please write your idea here. Especially I need your view about the first item. Thanks.--Seyyed(t-c) 03:20, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
