Thank you for taking the time to comment on the above list. I have completed all of the items you requested so when you find the time could you take a look and make sure I captured all of your concerns. Also, if you are interested and have the time I have a couple of other articles that could also use comments.

- Not entirely. Just keep digging until you find something that can be kept. :) Never give up! Arsonal (talk) 17:35, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but what's the point of that? If linked URLs can be removed as copyvios, and unlinked URLs can be removed as copyvios, there's no reason to think URLs inside a comment are any more acceptable. And besides the comment, you added some easily found citation information. If someone wanted to know more, all they would have to do is google the quote and they'd find the whole thing. --Gwern (contribs) 17:49 14 January 2010 (GMT)
- Yes, but that requires the effort of the readers. Policy restricts the contributors from providing readers direct access of such copyrighted material from Wikipedia itself. The citation is valid, as is the information; the means of citation to copies of the article was not. An external link to the primary source (which was what I added) does not violate this. The quote is a means to verify that contributors have not misinterpreted the original text, not as a way to bypass copyright issues. Arsonal (talk) 17:57, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- But there's nothing there at the 2 URLs! There's nothing there in the Internet Archive either because of robots.txt. What earthly good does linking to such URLs do?
- And IMO, I wouldn't regard fair use as 'a way to bypass copyright issues'. --Gwern (contribs) 18:08 14 January 2010 (GMT)
- It may be of some use later, who knows. I only added the URLs in a comment, so they're not visible to readers. Arsonal (talk) 21:56, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Which one-liners are you talking about?Arsonal (talk) 03:20, 28 January 2010 (UTC)- Never mind the above. I think if an article on the person exists on the Indonesian Wikipedia, it is very much salvageable. However, people like Ishak Effendi are very minor in the national political scene in terms of their lasting impact. We'll do a pass at them first and see about sending some for deletion the second time around. Arsonal (talk) 03:25, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Arsonal, thanks for letting me know about your current effort in re-writing this article. I agree that it's due time for a serious effort. How would you like me to help? Do you want me to get involved in editing the current sandbox under your account, or do you prefer suggestions and review at this point? Thanks. Julius.kusuma (talk) 13:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Arsonal, sounds good. I asked exactly so that things don't get too messy too early. I look forward to your first complete draft! Julius.kusuma (talk) 14:14, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay in responding to your request for comments. I will review your excellent draft by Monday April 19 and share my comments. At first glance, it is much improved compared to the original: good work! Julius.kusuma (talk) 12:06, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Arsonal, here is my first round of comments.
- Your first draft really is excellent, very nice work! In particular, I like your organization of the material.
- Do you have plans on where/how to introduce the various waves of immigration to Indonesia? Will it be under "Ancestral origins" or under "History"? I think it should be under "History", to give it a better chronological view. I can help with this part if you like.
- Will you expand the history part to include more modern history? Maybe something along the lines of the following, with mentions of the different waves of immigration in the appropriate sub-sections:
- Early interactions
- Colonial period (only Dutch or also Japanese colonial period?)
- Nation-building
- Early independent era
- New Order era (we can introduce the G30S/PKI history here as related to this article, and also important bits such as PP/10, etc.)
- May 1998 riots (or, this can be the ending to the previous sub-section)
- Reformasi era (then we can introduce the rescinding of a lot of anti-Chinese identity rules)
- In the "Society" section, I'm not sure yet what you have in mind regarding the structure of this part, so I leave it to you to add more detail before I comment.
- Let me know if you want me or other contributors to actively work on certain sections, otherwise I leave it to you to take the leading role in your draft.

Hey Arsonal. I wanted to let you know I've conducted a GAN review for Wong Fu Productions, and identified a number of concerns at the the review page. I've placed in on hold in the meantime until the issues can be addressed. Best of luck! — Hunter Kahn 02:43, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'm ready to pass it after your fixes to the references, but there is one objection that hasn't been addressed: "# "Since the end of its first tour, Wong Fu has created music videos for rising artists and continued producing short films." List of Twin Spica episodes
I said that 木鈴 may be read as "Mokurin" in my talk page, but the word may be read as "Kisuzu." Because I didn't know the exact reading of the word, I researched more websites. The word is read as "Kisuzu" on the website (in Japanese). On the Japanese wikipedia article Kusuriya Tantei Yōkidan (as of February 4, 2010), the reading "Kisuzu" was used as the family name.--ACSE (talk) 06:42, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for following up. Would you say that it's more likely to be Kisuzu then? As a side note, I noticed the odd name construction when the Anime News Network encyclopedia listed the episode director's name as "Yoshinari Suzuki". I then noticed that the last name is different from the Suzuki that is used in the name of one of the Twin Spica characters. Arsonal (talk) 09:07, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Having read the ANN article, I thought that 木鈴芳 may be a typo of 鈴木芳成 (Suzuki Yoshinari).--ACSE (talk) 16:54, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- It's true that there are other anime with 鈴木芳成 in the credits, but I just checked the actual anime episodes. They list the director as 木鈴芳. It might be a case of ANN people thinking they are the same people. Arsonal (talk) 20:39, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

AfD nomination of World Peace One
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is World Peace One. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/World Peace One. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:05, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Lists of Royal Navy ship names
Re your addition of a template to the list, in every case, the template is clashing with the names in the list. If you can't fix this, please revert to the original version - would putting the template in a 1x1 table work? Mjroots (talk) 05:12, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- By clashing do you mean the names are overlapping with the template? The usage in those pages is the same as in pages like List of aircraft carriers of the Royal Navy and List of submarine classes of the Royal Navy. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 07:12, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, that is what I mean. Any ideas on a fix? Mjroots (talk) 08:39, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't notice the problem because my monitor was wide enough that it didn't cause a problem. I seem to have found a solution using {{Div col}}. It has the same functionality as {{Reflist}} for setting flexible columns according to the width of your window. I've implemented it at List of ship names of the Royal Navy (A). Perhaps you can take a look and let me know what you think. If that works for you, I'll go ahead and use it for the other ship names lists as well. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 18:50, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've had a look, and I'll have to say "no" to that. Putting the ships into a single column creates acres of white space, which is why they were in 3 cols to start with. If you really can't find a solution, give WT:SHIPS a yell. Plenty of experts there. Mjroots (talk) 18:55, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

I archived the Yomiuri Shimbun review and put the archive link as hidden comment so you will just have to remove the comment tag to put the archived link online when you will need it. --KrebMarkt (talk) 15:08, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for doing that, will try to remember that in the future. I went ahead and took the archive link out of the comments anyway. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 18:40, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Rose Colored Glasses
I'm working on something with that. The incoming links for Rose Colored Glasses should point to Rose Colored Glasses (Kelly Rowland song). Someone moved that page to Rose Colored Glasses (song) and I'm about to reverse that redirect since there's another artist who has a song by that name. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 19:04, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- Cool. I'll let you take care of it then. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 19:14, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, it looks like all the incoming links to Rose Colored Glasses got taken care of. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 19:16, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yea, I moved them to Rose Colored Glasses (song), and I think you immediately caught and switched them to Rose Colored Glasses (Kelly Rowland song). —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 19:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

re: Introducing ITN candidates
You mean in the table or in the nominees below? In the former my only nominees are when there actually is a page (which some others dont do, and are guaranteed not to get to ITN, id think)Lihaas (talk) 23:24, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- They were linked in the table box though, i only nom. when its there. But anyhoo, point taken (at least a reference to the above?)Lihaas (talk) 10:01, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
To address concerns spoken of at the above AFD, I have built upon your work and created Obama Anak Menteng (film), to take better advantage of the innumerable sources speaking about the film, its background, its production, and its screening. I'd like you to look in at the new article and offer me your opinion, as much of the trail you blazed when authoring Obama Anak Menteng became part of the new article, as I expanded and further sourced it with a different emphasis... and I think it will not itself ever see the inside of an AFD discussion. Best regards, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 05:18, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the initiative on this, Michael. I have been busy handling other tasks here that I didn't have the chance to look at the AfD. I will look through your creation and make a comment on the AfD thread later. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 19:03, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking in. As stated above... your original contributions were a terrific guide. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 01:29, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Events' naming convention in Fencing
Hello. Thank you for creating a template for fencing results. I've noticed that Cadet Male/Female pages were moved to boys'/girls'. This is in fact incorrect since the official name of the events are Cadet Male/Female that are given as per sport guidlines. In fencing there are qite are few age groups within "boys/girls" category. The ranges are "under 11" - Benjamin - 11, "under 13" - Benjamin 13, under 15" - Benjamin - 15, "under 17" - Cadet, "under 20" = Junior. Therefore boys/girls makes no sense for fencing community. Can you kindly update the template for the sport that you introduced and revert the move to show correct event name?No troll (talk) 15:34, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for the explanation because, as you can see, I do not understand fencing terminology at all! However, I stand by my edits in the interest of WP:Jargon. I believe the specific age categories themselves can be better explained within the article, i.e. indicate specifically that these are cadet male and female groups. As I understand it, the Youth Olympics have an age limit of 14–18, so I don't see conflict issues with disambiguating from other younger age groups of Olympic fencing. If you feel that you need further consensus, feel free to consult the folks at WikiProject Olympics. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 22:29, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- As can be seen by my alias, I have no intention for trolling the issue and therefore will not take further steps to revert the titles. However a common sense tells me that we do not call 18 years old 'boys' and in Olympics each sport had its very strict age limitation. As shown, for instance in main fencing article some World Championships medalists were excluded from selection because they were too young. Also since this sport involves expert weapon handling, calling a champion 'a boy/girl with the sword' is practically an insult ... No troll (talk) 23:23, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't take your comments as trolling, and I definitely understand where you are coming from. I was not the first person to use "boys" and "girls" as opposed to "men" and "women", as I did not create the majority of the event articles. I merely followed what seemed like the naming convention that was used by the initial editors and applied them to the templates. I am not particularly attached to either one. I think this is a case where there is merit in bringing up the topic at WikiProject Olympics or there will be going back-and-forth again in two years for the Winter Youth Olympics. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 23:31, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
- I won't be active participant in discussions on the project, therefore I leave it up to your discretion. Currently the template literally reads: "Foil girls", "Saber boys" etc. By sport participants it can be taken either as a joke or as an insult. Due to the sport history the naming is as important as an Army rank. It is a big deal to move up to higher age category, which is recognized as a certain maturity level both mentally and physically and is respected in this sport. No troll (talk) 00:11, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have introduced the discussion Gender terminology in YOG event articles. Feel free to chime in as you see fit. Thanks for being patient. —Arsonal (talk + contribs)— 00:29, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
