A couple of additional comments:
- Copyright: Take a look at the comments that have been added to page for the image you uploaded: [[Image:0506 bg.gif]]. Wikipedia is very sensitive to infringing copyrights; see the article Wikipedia:Copyrights for more guidance on documenting that it's OK for Wikipedia to use the image.
- "Purportedly": That article may be moved to the Wiktionary; see the comment someone added to the article you made.
This editing stuff can seem a little arcane to a newcomer; don't be afraid to just dive right in -- you'll learn along the way. (That's what I did and so far they've survived my edits.) We need all the editors we can get!
