[edit]Your edits to Cecilia Gessa have been reverted twice, because they removed content supported by sources. Your edits in both en.Wikipedia and es.Wikipedia appear to be efforts to sanitize the article. Please stop. History is relevant, and reliable media sources cover Ms. Gessa in the context of what she used to do, not just her current activities. • Gene93k (talk) 10:07, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
@Gene93k:
Or should i talk thorugh here. Sorry, i dont really know how to use exactly all of this. I do understand, but i would like to chat if possible with you, in order to explain a little bit more! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andresgvz2021 (talk • contribs) 10:21, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- We can discuss the article here, keeping the conversation on one page. Also, please note Wikipedia content policies, especially Wikipedia is not censored. • Gene93k (talk) 11:07, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- Ok great!
- Well look, i do not want to give details here because is public and i am working with confidential information, but i did those modifications in the wikipedia text because the person asked us to do it. We thought it was ok, and we did it in virtue of the GDPR law. I really can explain all in details but i dont actually wanna do it here you know. I hope you understand me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andresgvz2021 (talk • contribs) 11:51, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- Multiple points: 1. If you represent the subject, the best approach is to contact the volunteers at info-en-q@wikimedia.org (se Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Legal issues). Important: If you have a vested interest in the subject, you must disclose it, especially if you are paid or employed to act in that interest. 2. The information is widely publicized (Chic, Vanity Fair, El Mundo). Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy corrections policy applies mainly to correcting errors or redacting confidential personal information, not applicable here. 3. My take as a non-lawyer: GDPR/right to be forgotten is a stretch on en.Wikipedia, which operates under U.S. law. The Wikimedia foundation has contested GDPR in the courts, and, again, the first point of contact is the volunteer team, who can refer this to the lawyers. 4. It is against multiple Wikipedia policies to sanitize the facts. 5. Cecilia Gessa is a marginally notable person. The deletion debate resulted in no consensus. Taking the article down is an option. Again, verify who is making the request and contact the volunteers. If Cecilia Gessa wants to reinvent herself, she can do so outside of Wikipedia. • Gene93k (talk) 14:55, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
