Living Downstream (film)
[edit]I would like to know why the page I created, Living Downstream (film) was deleted. The reason you gave was "(notability not asserted)" but that really doesn't tell me anything at all. This listing deserves to be published, so please tell me where I went wrong so I can try again. Thanks. - AMS
- Have you read our guidelines on notability? The problem here, if I might interject is that your article doesn't show how the subject meets these guidelines. Please ping me for help if you need more advice Fritzpoll (talk) 22:23, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, Fritzpoll. I did read this. Does it come down to the sources that were used, or the degree to which you can find subjects listed in outside sources which might prove their notability via an "objective source"? There are countless examples where wiki articles reference sources that could be seen as conflictual, so if this is the problem, I am confused. It is frustrating that I am unable to revisit the text from this entry to review and learn. Any feedback would be great. - AMS —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.91.157.35 (talk) 20:53, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Move request
[edit]Some time ago, an article in your userspace User:Amshamoon/Living Downstream (film) was tagged with a request to be moved to the live area of Wikipedia. We're sorry that did not get processed until now; such articles did not receive attention.
To rectify this, we have moved your article into the Articles for creation process - where it will be reviewed as soon as possible. It will either be moved to the live area (if acceptable, or if we can fix it up) - or, we will 'decline' the suggestion or place it 'on hold', explaining our reasoning to you.
The article is (for now) in Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Living Downstream (film).
You may still edit the article to improve it, if you wish.
We will inform you of the outcome right here, on your user talk page.
If you require any help, at any time, you can either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
- Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
- Talk to us live, with this or this.--SPhilbrickT 19:56, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

How references work |
---|
Simple references[edit]These require two parts;
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
== References == {{reflist}} (an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections) To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:Amshamoon/reftest and try it out. Named references[edit]Chzz was born in 1837, <ref name="MyBook"> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> in Footown.<ref name="MyBook"/> Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result. Citation templates[edit]You can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look; Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation | last = Smith | first = John | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century | publication-date = 2001 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]] | page = 125 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4 }} </ref> Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result. For more help and tips on that subject, see user:chzz/help/refs. |
