Heyyy... the thread on Sitakunda Upazila is gone!!!Reporting: I'm working on the history and newspaper bits (though ever since I started working on the article, I have found nothing on the Bangladesh Liberation War history of Sitakunda). This may take a bit more time than the rest (writing what I know about the newspapers would be easy, but appropriate citation may not become available quickly). In the meantime, I have submitted the article for WP:GA, and am planning to get the rest of the redlinks blue (there may be other improvements as well). If you have time, may be you would like to give it another tough scrutiny. Thanks for all the fish. Cheers. Aditya(talk • contribs)16:56, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
I have granted your request for rollback. Please make sure you are familiar with how rollback works. In general, the tool is only for reverting obvious vandalism - any edit, no matter how awful or biased, that could possibly have been made in good faith should not be reverted in this manner. Never use rollback on the edits of regular contributors and most of all, use common sense. Remember rollback privileges can be revoked by any administrator. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism.--Docg11:38, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Bird flu
I saw the page earlier but I am not interested in the subject as I am busy with too many other things. I am sorry I have to say no. I am still to work on Sundarban National Park. Let me see when I can do that. Regards. - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 03:11, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary is now up for DYK. I have been working on the parliamentary constituences and the related assembly constiuencies and in the process developing the town pages in the area. While working on the Raiganj (Lok Sabha constituency) and Uttar Dinajpur I found that there was some referenced material on the sanctuary and so picked it up. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article 2008 bird flu outbreak in West Bengal, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Thanks for the medal. Maratha Ditch is an English word and as such I don't think that Bengali script is necessary. It was built by the English. Regards - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 06:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Amarty,
If there is any of my particular photo/s you want for a Wiki article just let me know and make a request on the photo in Flickr and I will re-license it in Flickr as Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons, then you can crop/resize and download to commons for use in an article.

Hi! Some of your corrections were updating of data. Whereas, some were removal of blatant POV (killing of numerous farmers). Yes, somehow some POVs crept in, and we failed to notice that. The GDP figure update that you did gives me funny feeling. The reference is same, and, ok. But the figures were slightly modified. Was it deliberately done by somebody??? Or was it some slight modification of data in the source itself? Tough to say. While it is really needed to have a full check. What is RTFA?--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:28, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
No, I do not think a separate section named Infrastructure is needed. Such a subsection is not recommended in the projects which the article comes under. The data you mentioned should be incorporated in the present sections. In demographics, the following can be added: no. of hospitals and heath centers, HDI rank. In education, no. of schools etc. In transport, road density. In economy, power production capacity. --Dwaipayan (talk) 10:57, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi. It's difficult to add inline citations without the main book (Robison's Inner Eye). I've added some, via google book. Wil add more. Please try yourself, too. Here is the link: [1]. I've requested User:Shmitra, too. But he is not frequent nowadays. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 10:11, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
May the year be full of joy and happiness and lots of featured articles. May the year bring no pain or hardship or ArbComs. May the force and those Jedi Knights be always with you. Live long and prosper, longer and better than those pointy-eared Vulcan people. Aditya(talk • contribs)
Yeah, this is really great list. It will also be helpful in creating new articles that are basic, but lacking so far.--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:45, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for clearing the flickr review for this image. I had uploaded this image from flickr but soon it was tagged as non-compatible and marked for deletion. I waited for a few days to check if it gets revoked but looked as if image will get deleted. So I uploaded another image of Gangtok prison(again from flickr) and added it to Gangtok. But nice to know that Sikkim assembly image got cleared. Just wanted to check how you did this magic? Did I upload it with any wrong licensing information? --gppande«talk»14:08, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Project News

Bot Assisted Assessment was successfully done using Bot0612 in May 2008. 1744 articles (18.5%) of all India unassessed articles were marked if they had been assessed by some other project.
IPL was hot on Wikipedia too!!! During the tournament, the article was among the most frequently edited articles. It is currently the only Indian article in top 100, occupying 58th spot.
Do you know of an article that is currently underrated? If so, please nominate the article at the Assessment Department's request for assessment. This will allow our project to get a better idea of the quality of our articles.

Thanks a lot for sharing my workload of adding parameters for the workgroups. Just a note , be very careful when tagging for the states that are "disputed" like JandK, sikkim etc. It is safe to leave a note like this as I do... You can enable this at "More..." Tab in AWB as Enabled > Append. You can add your note in the box , it will append automatically to the page -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 08:44, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for the India banner tagging. You can create a alternate account such as User:AmartyaBot for doing the tagging. Using a bot will enable a bot tab on AWB that has a "Auto Save" feature every X seconds. This will save you a lot of effort. You will need to file a bot request for approval for AmartyaBot. See example. Please let me know if you have any questions. Ganeshk(talk)12:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm impressed with the messages you are leaving on article talk pages while tagging said article with project banners. It is a very polite thing to do.--Rockfang (talk) 11:48, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Re:Enhancement of the template of WP:ASM
Taskforces/workgroups are normally displayed inside the banner. We had given exception to topical taskforces such as Cinema and protected areas by displaying them seperate from the banner. This is not a normal practice though. Regards, Ganeshk(talk)02:38, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
