Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Turkish grammar has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): googlepages\.com (links: http://learningturkish.org.googlepages.com/home.htm).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 06:37, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to the page Turkish grammar do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Turkish grammar do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

February 2010

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. ThemFromSpace 23:20, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Compromise?

[edit]

Hi, I looked over these two links again and I'm willing to let the first one ( http://sites.google.com/site/learningturkishsite/ ) stay up but I'm still of the opinion that the second link ( http://sites.google.com/site/learningturkishsite/automaticverbdeclinations ) isn't appropriate and should be removed.

Regarding your concern about the non-commercial nature of the links, Wikipedia judges the merits of links based on their content. If we left every noncommercial link in articles like this they would be disorganized and contain many irrelevant links. Again, please look over WP:ELNO to see which pages we typically do not link to. There are many categories listed which apply equally to commercial and noncommercial links.

If you agree to take down the second link please make the edit yourself, since I don't want to editwar with you. If you think that both links should be included this will probably have to be discussed at a central noticeboard such as WP:ELN. ThemFromSpace 01:51, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
