Speedy deletion nomination of Aftab Afridi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Aftab Afridi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself
[edit]Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or Myspace for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia.
Also, you should read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors, particularly the section headed "Your safety and security". That will tell you why I have deleted your user-page as well as your article about yourself. Sorry, but it is in your own interest. Regards. JohnCD (talk) 19:59, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Your user page
[edit]I deleted your user page because it is not safe for young people to post so much information about themselves on the internet. Please read WP:YOUNG#Your safety and security. Wikipedia is very careful about this. If you would like to change the username of your account, you can do that at Wikipedia:Changing username.
Also, Wikipedia is a project to build an encyclopedia, not a social-networking site for people to write about themselves. Wikipedia user pages should be mainly about the user's Wikipedia work - see WP:NOTWEBHOST. JohnCD (talk) 10:44, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. JohnCD (talk) 12:04, 8 September 2014 (UTC)- This block need not be permanent, but if you are to be unblocked your unblock request will need to agree not to repost your personal details, and to explain what sort of editing you want to do that will not be about yourself but will help to build the encyclopedia.
