[edit]

Hello Abdulrauf910!

Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, but you can click here to see how you can avoid making some common ones.

If you are still stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Or, you can join the newcomer's help chat room, where volunteers can answer your questions.

If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user, such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to be BOLD! – Happysailor (talk)

The article MUHAMMAD KHÁN has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This makes little sense, in part because it's simply copied from any one of a whole bunch of websites. It goes back to [books.google.com/books?id=eikPAAAAYAAJ&pg=RA1-PA58 this book]; I don't see enough context to figure out what it is.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. • Likewise, I have moved the article SHIR MUHAMMAD KHÁN to your user space as User:Abdulrauf910/Shir Muhammad Khán. It has been copied verbatim from an outside source (the source may actually be in public domain; still, Wikipedia does not serve for hosting of copies of primary sources [use Wikisource for this purpose]). Plus, it does not really give any context on who Shir Muhammad Khán is. Finally, see the manual of style; among other things, an article's title is not supposed to be in all-caps, and an article should not contain a signature (the editing history of an article is recorded automatically). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:11, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dr Abdul Rauf Mughal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 05:14, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Chughtai Khanate Family Tree

[edit]

Hello Abdulrauf910,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Chughtai Khanate Family Tree for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Spencer.mccormick (talk) 19:34, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Chingis Khan.pdf

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chingis Khan.pdf. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. LGA talkedits 22:57, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Chingis Khan.pdf)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chingis Khan.pdf. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:51, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please add WP:Categories to your Abdul Aziz Mughal family of articles

[edit]

Greetings, the articles you wrote on Abdul Aziz Mughal and his descendants are showing up as errors because they are not filed in any WP:Category. Please add appropriate categories; a good way to do this is to find an article about a similar figure and use that article's categories as your guidance. If you have questions on how to improve the formatting on your articles, please visit Wikipedia:Teahouse. Thanks! MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:35, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Ibrahim bin Qutab Din

[edit]

Hello Abdulrauf910,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ibrahim bin Qutab Din for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. ♦ Tentinator ♦ 08:09, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Khizr Khoja, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. reddogsix (talk) 10:04, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article notability notification

[edit]

Hello. This message is to inform you that an article that you wrote, Pehchan The geneology record of Chughtai Mughals of Langrewali, Sialkot, has been recently tagged with a notability notice. This means that it may not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Please note that articles which do not meet these criteria may be merged, redirected, or deleted. Please consider adding reliable, secondary sources to the article in order to establish the topic's notability. You may find the following links useful when searching for sources: Find sources: "Pehchan The geneology record of Chughtai Mughals of Langrewali, Sialkot" – news · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images. A tag has been placed on Shah Mamud Churas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.orientalstudies.ru/eng/index.php?option=com_publications&Itemid=75&pub=1416. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". The article Pehchan The geneology record of Chughtai Mughals of Langrewali, Sialkot has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

The article Muhammad Imin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I think this article is based on a misreading of sources. We have several articles about this khanate, none of which mention this ruler.
