References
[edit]Your article about Walter S. Zapotoczny Jr. suffers from some referencing problems:
- You have several times cited an "interview with the author". If this interview has been published, please cite the publication. If the interview is not published (i.e. if you just sat down and chatted with Mr. Zapotoczny), this is not a valid reference and cannot be used. References must be publicly available for any other editor to use to verify the content of an article.
- Citations to primary sources (i.e. articles written by Mr. Zapotoczny, or listings of his products for sale at various locations) are also of questionable value. In an author's blurb on Amazon, for example, he is free to say whatever he pleases about himself. This does not serve as a valid citation for verification purposes.
- The citations given do not necessarily indicate that Zapotoczny is notable. He has written a few self-published books, and an unverified number of articles. As either an author or an historian, he does not appear to meet the criteria for inclusion at Wikipedia. Better references (significant reviews of his works, articles written about him in independent publications, etc.) would help.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. DGG ( talk ) 01:31, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
I reject the proposed deletion of this page for the following reasons: 1. Just because someone self-publishes a book does not make his non-credible. 2. While Kirkus is a paid reviewer, they have written many bad reviews of books. They did not have to give his book a positive review. 3. The MWSA review is not a paid review. 4. Do a scholar search and you will find many of the author's articles used by students from many academic institutions. 5. Since the magazine articles written by this author are for print, a reference link could not be made. Aaylan58 (talk) 02:46, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm DoorsAjar. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Walter S. Zapotoczny Jr., with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DoorsAjar (talk) 20:52, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
