2020 sucked. Wish the whole world would have their COVID status like WA. 275+ days with no local or community cases. Userbox request taken on Userpage. See link for more info.

[edit]

You have accused me of being involved in an edit war on MY OWN talk page and threatened to have my account suspended because of this. This is only after you repeatedly edited it against my will and repeatedly prevented my erasing these changes. Now, you will stop doing this and leave me alone. Goodbye.

You are not allowed to remove other people's text unless you want to archive it Cheers mate, AussieCoinCollector (talk) wish the entire world's COVID-19 status was like WA, 275+ days of no local cases :) 03:05, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
While it is good karma to archive messages, there is nothing that prohibits users from removing messages left on their talk pages. Please consult WP:BLANKING for more info. —C.Fred (talk) 03:17, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They removed my comments, not theirs. I learnt that from here where User:Bidgee is has told User:Westrim to not edit other people's comments. AussieCoinCollector (talk) wish the entire world's COVID-19 status was like WA, 275+ days of no local cases :) 03:22, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Conduct at an article talk page is a different matter entirely. WP:BLANKING covers users' own user talk pages. —C.Fred (talk) 03:29, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
"Policy does not prohibit users, whether registered or unregistered, from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. If a user removes material from their talk page, it is normally taken to mean that the user has read and is aware of its contents. There is no need to keep them on display, and usually users should not be forced to do so. It is often best to simply let the matter rest if the issues stop." — Preceding unsigned comment added by LOLICONSUPREMACIST (talkcontribs) 03:58, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Daily Mail reference at Uluru

[edit]

Hi. Please do not use the Daily Mail as you did at Uluru. It is not a reliable source. See WP:DAILYMAIL. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:56, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Robby.is.on: I'll be sure not to use it but out of curiosity, why is it considered unreliable RealLifeLorefan80 (talk) 02:28, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think you should be able to find the answer to your question if you follow the WP:DAILYMAIL link I gave above. There, you'll find discussions linked from recent years which led to the consensus of deprecating the Daily Mail. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 02:41, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

M11

[edit]

It's not called the "M11 Motorway" in England, just the M11, which happens to be a motorway. I suggest you revert your move. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 21:29, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@The Rambling Man: well, there are other M11's in the world and I changed it from "M11 motorway" to "M11 Motorway (England)" AussieCoinCollector (talk) 21:31, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, which is incorrect. It's the M11 motorway, not Motorway. And while there are other M11 motorways in the world, which one do you think is the WP:COMMONNAME? The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 21:33, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but then it becomes indiscriminate, to me, Wikipedia sometimes is European and North American bias. This happens to be one of them. AussieCoinCollector (talk) 21:41, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's why we have policies and guidelines, including WP:COMMONNAME. Please don't indiscriminately move one motorway page (I'm sure there's more than just one M1 motorway for instance, and M2 motorway and M3 motorway etc etc). For some of these, the common name is clear, for some it links to disambiguation pages. If you'd like to move M11, start a WP:RM. But whatever happens, "M11 Motorway" is not correct. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 21:43, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There here's a bunch of M1's alone in Australia

QLD/NSW

[edit]

VIC

[edit]

SA

[edit]

South Eastern Expressway

Now if you just name one of these as M1, then it becomes indiscriminate. Let alone, what is it with London's M1 that get's the name "M1 motorway" AussieCoinCollector (talk) 22:54, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. All the M1s you describe are trivial in comparison to the "real" M1 motorway. Some of them are so trivial they don't even have articles. If one topic by far outweighs all the others, it is the primary topic. If it's not the case (e.g. M3 motorway) then we have a disambiguation page. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 07:45, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some of them were not made because it isn't gazetted as such. Others as I quickly typed it and then added the link and I was in a rush. All of them are notable though.

That's as maybe, but none of them are the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 10:49, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I had a chat to some of my family who live in the UK. I guess you are right. Motorways in the UK have no names unlike what's here. AussieCoinCollector (talk) wish the entire world's COVID-19 status was like WA, 275+ days of no local cases :) 20:43, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Odd CSD request

[edit]

Hi AussieCoinCollector, I'm a bit confused as to why you made this edit; there isn't really anything CSD-able about that user page. Additionally, you didn't need to warn them about their username—they were already reported to usernames for administrator attention, and it's generally discouraged to warn a user and report them at the same time. I assume you just weren't aware that they were already reported, but in cases like that it's not a bad idea to check. Thanks, and happy editing! Perryprog (talk) 20:55, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I wasn't aware of that. I made that edit because it shows that there a company. AussieCoinCollector (talk) wish the entire world's COVID-19 status was like WA, 275+ days of no local cases :) 20:58, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
AussieCoinCollector, if by "that edit" you mean the CSD one, then I'm still not sure why you added it. G3 is for either vandalism or hoaxes, which this was clearly neither. As the page's only content was a {{UserboxCOI}}, I don't believe there was any CSD criterium that applied there. Perryprog (talk) 21:05, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why have I been blocked?

[edit]

@Oshwah:

AussieCoinCollector (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Why have I been blocked? Jermboy27 is a road attacking vandal. I have only edited a road article a few times. As per the Sock-puppet investigation, there are some clear facts that you have missed and which I am not.

1. "Although they have started editing in other areas (e.g. Australian coins) they have still edited in Australian road related pages (main and talk, [1], [2], [3]) and follows the same patten and behaviour as previous socks." - this is only done very rarely and most of the time, its for a clean up. Most of the time, my edits are about general articles.

2. "They also state that they're from Sydney, in a contribution showed that they are from the same area as the past recent socks (can provide privately to CU, since I do not like to out the detailed location of editors) but they did create a template for the Western Sydney University and Western Sydney, which is in the area/region the past socks have stated they are from." - again, there's 3 million Western Sydney residents. So theres very little chance I may be the same person. (which is 1/>3,000,000)

3. "The suspected sock's username signature is also of interest " wish the entire world's COVID-19 status was like WA, 275+ days of no local cases :) " and editing WA relates articles ([4], [5], [6]), Jermboy's IPs in the early days were from WA (Perth)." - Well, I have never been to WA, hence the creation of the userbox that is on my user page and the signature is how the WA government controlled COVID well with their border closures.

4. "The suspected sock has also been rather sloppy when it comes to editing ([7], [8]) including editing bios ([9], [10], [11], Joseph Pisenti (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Joseph_Pisenti) AfD) and creating road articles for roads that really don't need their own article and using Wikipedia as a source, editing a draft that one of their socks (WAgoesalphanumeric) had edited, which is the same patten (editing style) and behaviour the Jermboy socks have done in the past" - well, I only fixed the category up and didn't add anything. Me editing bios is something I'm a fan of. And the article I created about that road was deleted because I was only in the process of learning Wikipedias policies and guidelines.

5. "What makes the case much stronger is the removal of Thent1234 name from the NT WikiProject, same style of GA reviews." Well, I were a Jermboy sock, then why would I remove my name? Also, I also removed a lot of his unnecessary duplications and hence, why I started to read about who Thent1234/Jermboy27 is.

6. "I have had zero interaction with but they mentioned myself on their own talk page, gets involved in an old talk page discussion where they have mode zero contributions to and of interest add a template to a harrasment account (Jermboy created User:Bidgeeeee in November) and lists another other Jermboy27 sock (Barneyuj (talk · contribs · logs · edit filter log · block log)) at User talk:AmandaNP/UAA/Blacklist. Also like the last sock(s), states that Google Maps/Street View is reliable." Well, I was looking at the history on the bushfire season article and noticed so many edit warring happening, hence why I told my opinion. And for adding that template was because I have always been wondering, why do people create usernames with 69 or 420 in it. It's where I found this. I thought some of them who aren't blocked might be better off renaming their account.

So would you please kindly unblock my account? Your help is very much appreciated. AussieCoinCollector (talk) wish the entire world's COVID-19 status was like WA, 275+ days of no local cases :) 03:48, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is even with all that above, checkuser still came up with a match. So you're going to need to convince a checkuser why the tool saying you and Jermboy27 are the same person is wrong. - The Bushranger One ping only 05:15, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the last Jermboy IP has been 115.64.38.204 as shown on "List of toad routes in New South Wales" and my IP has been 60.xx or 14.xx for a while now as I get emails saying, your IP or someone from this IP emails from Google. If you want, I can show my search history, but that's not possible since I am blocked. Given CU says you are Jermboy, and Jermboy has previously attacked Bidgee, you're going to have to try a lot harder than that. - The Bushranger One ping only 20:11, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
