Non-free content

Hey! I just wanted to clarify the difference between non-free fair-use images and freely-licensed images, and where they should be stored. For example, File:Double Candle 2018.jpg, which you licensed under CC BY 4.0, is not non-free and does not need a fair use rationale, so it should be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons, not here on the English Wikipedia. To summarize, freely licensed images go on the Commons, and non-free images go here. Happy editing! Bsoyka (talk) 20:01, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip! I understand why it might seem like it isn't non-free, but it's a photograph of a copyrighted sculpture (with a very recent copyright owned by a living artist) taken in the United States, so it is actually a non-free image, even though I took it myself and am licensing it out. I accidentally uploaded several images like this to WikiMedia and was told several times that they were non-free and needed to be hosted directly on Wikipedia. Let me know if that's clear, obviously this is a pretty niche case. @Bsoyka 19h00s (talk) 20:08, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
