Hello. Call me Nick Lancer. I'm a semi-active Wikipedia editor.

Sometimes not everything will go as planned, but then again we all make mistakes, and we learn from them. If anyone feels like my edits aren't very well done, feel free to improve on them!

Main introduction

[edit]

Greetings, kind fellow! Welcome to my Wikipedia user page. I go by Nick Lancer (not my real name). You can simply call me Nick.

I was born on May 20, 2003 in Glendale, California. I have lived in Glendale since my birth. I am a proud American citizen, American-born. I speak native English. I am not a multilingual but I do hope to be one.

My experience on Wikipedia

[edit]

In a nutshell: I have been on Wikipedia for a fair amount of time, but still have plenty to learn.

I joined Wikipedia on July 18, 2015, at exactly 4:01 PM my time. My first edit, save my user page, was of the Technicolor SA article, just 51 minutes after joining. I added "was a French multinational corporation that" to the lead of the article.

I have been on Wikipedia, under a registered account, for 9 years. When I first registered on July 18, 2015, I only wanted to edit a few pages. Then after further browsing the site, I gradually grew more comfortable with contributing to Wikipedia and became more active than I had originally intended.

I have had some struggles as an editor in my first few years, primarily from a lack of understanding of Wikipedia's policies. Some of my edits early on, many unnotable or uncited, were tested, and a few contested. However, over the years, my understanding of Wikipedia's mission became clearer. Obviously we are not perfect, and I am no exception to that, so I am bound to make mistakes as an editor, but overall, I have high hopes that my edits can compliment Wikipedia.

As of February 2020, I have made over 1,500 edits to my name, to over 850 pages. With those regards, I am obliged to display an Apprentice Editor service badge I have awarded myself. I also understand that on Wikipedia, the quality of your edits is better than how many you make. I have extended confirmed rights, but I am not an administrator and I do not wish to be one at the moment.
