Introduction to WikiGnoming
[edit]In general, WikiGnomes do behind-the-scenes maintenance work. These include, but are not limited to, fixing typos, correcting poor grammar, creating redirects, and repairing broken links. Further examples of gnome-work are organizing word pairs into tables, repairing links to disambiguation pages, adding links to text already in an article or to useful categories, adding redirects, and adding examples and details to information referenced in the text. So basically, WikiGnomes contribute primarily thorugh making what we would call "minor edits".
Task
[edit]Now that you have an idea of how to gnome, you first assignment would be to find an article or group of articles and perform any sort of gnome work on it (provided that the article actually needs it). When you have completed such edits, please leave a link to the diff page so that I may more easily see them. Once you have made 10 gnome edits, I will deem this task complete. You may post the links to your edits on the list below.
