Deshbandhu is a Hindi language newspaper.
Deshbandhu was launched in April 1959 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, by veteran journalist Mayaram Surjan. In its golden jubilee year in 2008, Deshbandhu started its National Edition from New Delhi, thus, becoming the first newspaper in central India to achieve this feat[citation needed]. Today Deshbandhu is published from 7 centres: Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Satna and New Delhi.
The Deshbandhu Group also publishes a Hindi broadsheet, Highway Channel, from Raipur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur; as well as a monthly literary journal, Akshar Parv, and occasional reference books.
