Steven F. Tedesco Jr.

Steven F. Tedesco Jr. (November 16, 1980) is an American documentary filmmaker and anthropologist. His first film Two Wars: The Road to Integration was released in 2023.[1]

Career

He received his Master of Arts from the University at Buffalo in Critical Museum Studies.

His film career started in 2023 when he collaborated with the Buffalo Naval Park on the exhibition and film, Two Wars: The Road to Integration.[1] The film was aired nationally on PBS through syndication provided by American Broadcasting Television. The film has been nominated for two New York Emmy Awards.[2] The PBS episode description reads:

"Since the earliest days of the Republic, African Americans have been part of the nation’s fighting force and fought to defend the very freedoms they could not enjoy as citizens. TWO WARS: THE ROAD TO INTEGRATION documents the tremendous endeavor to integrate the U.S. Armed Forces and what that meant for Black service members and their families."[3]

Personal Life

Steven is married and lives in Akron, NY, a suburb of Buffalo. He has two children.
