Ruth Nkweti

Ruth Nkweti[1][2] is a Cameroonian actress, writer and producer. She is a revolutionary storyteller and an advocate for the underprivileged. Though shuttling from Nigeria, Cameroon and the USA, Ruth Nkweti was born in the small town of Tiko in the southwest Region of Cameroon[3]. She is also a very talented scriptwriter[4]

Ruth Nkweti's rise to fame with her first nomination for Best Upcoming Actress at Zulu African Film Academy Awards in London[5]

In 2011, Ruth Nkweti was nominated for Zulu Africa Film Academy Award (ZAFAA), London, the

United Kingdom for best actress. Following that, she was nominated for Best Actress, Dream

Africa Movie Awards (DAMA), Bamenda Cameroon and Nominated at Cameroonian

Entertainment Awards (CEA) Washington DC, the USA in 2012, the same year she won Best

Actress, Cameroon Movies Merit Awards (CMMA).

Ruth was Awarded Best Actress at the Toronto International Nollywood Festival in 2021.[9]
